100 octane tune

Anyone make good power running 100 octane using either Torco, Octanium, or Boostane? Planning on running a Supra hpd6tu pump and custom MHD tune. Would rather try 100 octane verses mixing methane and upgrading lpfp along with hpfp.

how much is 100 octane where you live? their is a 76 station about 10 minutes from where I work in Pasadena, but it's like $8-10/gal iirc.. also, how often is the gas used/replenished? if the gas just kinda sits there because not many people pump 100 are their negative effects, or not really?

Why would you upgrade LPFP? Not required unless you are going over 600whp with ethanol or PI.

And you are still going to have a power ceiling with stock HPFP even if you run 100 octane. Those fuel additive options dont really seem like a permanent solution whereas adding a meth kit is and will allow you to run a higher octane map. I suppose if you wanted to just get a custom tune to use rarely and boost octane in that way when you wanted to, but seems like kindof a waste IMO.

My other plan was being able to run full e85 and pi, but but have decided against it.

The 100 octane isn't near me and where it is it's priced like by you real expensive. I'd like to be able to run 100-105 every now and then for a nice bump in power.

I'm in Ca so will have emissions testing so need engine bay to stay factory looking. Wasn't gonna run meth inj or pi to keep engine bay factory looking. Was just hoping to pick up 40 or so rwhp off a high octane tune.

just re read your post and you're going to use additives, not pump.. might be nice to run occasionally, don't some of those additives cause discoloration though if used too much? that's why I never used boostane even though I have a bottle of it, didn't want the orange tail pipes and spark plugs.

I used to run torco in my turbo CAMARO never discolored the tail pipes nor foul the plugs. I've seen the discoloration on the plugs, but don't think it actually fouls them.

You don't really need your engine bay to look factory... Its an OBD2 test and you can almost certainly find a place that wont question visual. Hell on my 3000gt i run catless with almost nothing in the engine bay original and no emissions control retained and "find another way" to pass biennial star station smog checks.

You can also easily conceal meth so that it will not be visible. Just saying, its not a reason to completely exclude that option if your fuel is severely limited.

Heres some ways to find race gas:

https://www.sunocoracefuels.com/fuel...fid=&range=300

https://vpracingfuels.com/find-vp-dealer/

https://www.240turbo.com/Unleaded_Ra..._in_SoCal.html

For E85 i use https://pearsonfuels.com/e85-gas-sta...rchQuery=93427

If there really is nothing around you the best bet is probably get drums of 100 octane from something like sunoco, or fill up jugs of E85 and keep them at home and just do the mix after you fill up with local pump gas to get E30 or whatever your tune needs. It did looks like you live in kindof a dead zone for E85 unless there is something besides pearson fuels in your area.
