Take your car to a high end detailer or two and see what no-repaint options they give you. Of course the scratch will be there and be visible, but I'd be willing to see how good a $80-$120 repair looks. I like factory paint, even with slight usage. $.02

Also you mention at school. If this is a school smaller than a community college, I'd be anxious it could happen again if you fix it.... in case someone is proud of their work.

If someone keyed your car it's usually covered on your insurance. It's not collision so doesn't make your rates go up. Just have to pay deductible.

100%. A homeless man keyed the hell out of my E36 yrs ago. I paid my deductible and had a brand new paint job.

I hate these kind of people, keying car..wtf.. I have some scratches new the door handles and tried the meguiars scratch remover kit and did not helped at all
If you want it to look good get it done by a professional, avoid regrets later.
