Wireless Apple Carplay Installation Shops in LA

Hi all,

Any shop recommendations to install a wireless Apple Carplay kit for a 2016 BMW 435i Gran Coupe. Ideally, looking for Los Angeles/Pasadena Area. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am also interested in this as well, for a number or reasons. First, since I'm an "Apple Guy", I don't have a Windows computer nor do I have access to one (and I will NOT put in a Windows partition on my Mac). Second, I don't have the time, the place or the tools (battery tender, garage, etc...) to do this.

I think I may not be the only person with any or all of these issues. So...

If anyone located within 3hrs of Santa Maria (Santa Barbara County) can help with this, I'm sure that I am not the only person who would be interested and we would ALL be eternally grateful.

Now that the 3G Update crap is done and over with (I never did find a dealer who would/could update mine), I am in desperate need of doing the Apple CarPlay revision.

So again, if anyone can help with this, please speak up. I really don't want to have to go buy a new Windows PC just for this...

I don't believe so. It would change my iDrive 4 to iDrive 6 I believe. There are a few people who can do it remotely, but I need a Windows computer for them to remote access and since I'm an Apple guy, I'm SOL...

Same here - 100% Apple and VMWare Fusion for occasional Windows specific activities.

If you have Intel-based Mac, install Windows in the bootcamp partition and then delete after the remote session.

So in all of LA there are no shops that would be able to do this? I find this hard to believe.

I did just this, its so easy and I never looked back. Now part of my hard drive is dedicated to windows and i can flash and diaganose and do remote sessions if needed. took 45 minutes and doesn't effect the apple os. whoopty-doo

Maybe I"m just being paranoid. A few years ago, I put Windows on my Mac (using VM Fusionware, I think) and it really messed with my Mac which was strange since it was top of the line at the time (i7 Quad Processors, 8GB RAM, etc...). Maybe I will have to try again now that I'm running a '20 MBP (not the H1 model).

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really starting to contemplate this, especially since I'm coming up on a few road trips that I'll be taking and having Traffic Info would be great since they took it from me (Thanks BMW!)
