Hello

I have a BMW 320 M Sport F30 2015 and it is not working some functions of idrive:

DVD (only loading)

Bluetooth (only loading)

Navegator (only loading)
USB (does not identify when plugging in USB stick)

There is an update on bmw.com/uptade but I can't do it because USB doesn't work. The function in update Idrive is unavailable.


detail: I hear a beep on Idrive every 40 sec

I've done procedures to disconnect the battery, but without success.

Has anyone been through this and can help me? : thumsup:

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem.

Bluetooth, Navigation, USB audio doesn't work. When I get into the car in the morning (or after being away from it for more than 15 or so minutes), I hear a ticking sound coming from the cd-drive area. When I turn the car on, i-drive boots up, but on the right side it says "Navigation starting", and it's stuck there. I can still make phone calls via bluetooth, the aux plug works, and the USB port still charges my phone. I also noticed that BMW connected drive can't lock and unlock my car anymore. I think something related to the navigation unit and music playback, but I'm not sure. Reboot/resetting doesn't do anything.

Has anyone found out the exact problem and solution to this?

I am currently having identical issues, bluetooth not connecting, usb port not functioning correctly, Nav not loading. The cd player is constantly ticking... trying to find a solution to this but have not got anywhere yet. Any news?

My 16 320xi started the same issue today all of a sudden. Were any resolutions found? I also noticed that the BMW software update site had trouble with my VIN.

Same issue here - Bluetooth audio from "external media" just sits at loading screen and will not play audio. Aux works, but nothing else.

I also have the clicking noise behind the dash. It sounds like a relay/solenoid trying to cycle over and over again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I would assume that the hard drive in the head unit is dead and that's what the clicking is. The hard drive can be replaced, but it isn't a straightforward process.

I literally have these exact same problems.
Can anyone confirm after replacing the hard drive? & how would one replace it without going to the dealership?

From what I heard from my BMW dealer that we need replace the new head unit which is cost about 2k$ . Anyone solve the problems ?
