Squeak when changing gear

Has anyone else with MPPSK experienced a loud squeak from the exhaust when changing gear at high revs with the paddles?

That happens with or without mppsk. It is the belt slippage due to rapid changing of engine speed when shifting as the ZF shifts pretty fast. How loud is it?

Oh right. Yeah does sound like a slipping belt come to think of it.
It is quite loud. Enough to drown out the fart noise the exhaust makes when changing lol.

Which component do you think is causing the slippage? I'm guessing the A/C since it only seems to do it for most of us when the A/C is on? I wonder if there needs to be an adjustment to the clutches in the A/C compressor that will allow the pulley to spin with a little less effort (causing less belt slippage during the hard shifts). I dunno

340i gear change screech

I’m glad I’ve picked up on this as bmw have had the car 3 times and said there’s nothing wrong with it, even sent them the clip I have of it screeching(which doesn’t do it justice) as it sounds horrendous and worrying.

My warranty runs out in 4 weeks

Has anyone been able to diagnose this sound? I've searched search through the depths of the forums all to no avail.

Interesting. Sounds like it's coming from the front of the car, but I'll look into it, as I'm out of options.

I live in Alabama, USA where AC is always on, so never noticed this. But this gives my mechanic and me a start. Hopefully I can rid the squeak.
