Are my BMW 390 style wheels replicas or OEM?

Hello,

I just bought some second hand BMW 390 style wheels for my BMW F30. I live in Europe and I want to use them for winter tires. It's this model: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/390
The previous owner assured me that the wheels came with his car and they are 100% OEM.
When I arrived home, I began to investigate (unfortunately, after I payed for them). So the wheels have no "BMW" marking on the back.
There are the following inscriptions on the back:
  • MADE IN
  • TURKIYE
  • 7JX16 H2
  • IS31
  • 6796236
  • ALS17
  • CMS-628/1
So no BMW inscription, but a CMS inscription. I found out that CMS is a wheel manufacturer from Turkey that also manufactures wheels for BMS (and for other brands). But I couldn't find this model on their website.
The part code (6796236) it's the same as OEM.
I am attaching an image with the back of the wheel, I hope you can see the inscriptions.
What do you guys think? I just bought some replicas or they are OEM?

Thank you!

looks OEM to me https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=6796236

CMS is one of the largest manufacturer of wheels for OEMs. https://www.cms.com.tr/en/products/our-products

Did you ever find out id they are replicas or not? I have also bought a set of these, used. one of them has the BMW stamp next to the OEM part number, but the other 3 do not. However they all have CMS made in turkey.

Aside from dimensions and other info on the inside of the spokes the rims also have an ink stamp with the date hour and name of the person who tested each wheel. 3 of mine are from 2012 and they do not have the BMW stamp, the 4th is 2015 and has the bmw stamp next to the oem code.

all other markings and dimensions match exactly in their font and positioning.

they all weigh exactly the same, about 8.4- 8.5kg
I used a bathroom scale which is inaccurate as heck.

I weighed the SAME wheel multiple times over the course of 20 minutesand it gave me 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, 8.8 and 8.9 kg, so my scale is clearly retarded.

But when I weighed them one after another it gave me identical values for all 4 wheels.

The 2015 wheel looks and feels exactly the same as the other ones. All feel the same weight, the paint color is perfectly identical, the finish is identical as well. The paint texture /clearcoat feels identical to the 2012 ones.

The 2012 ones have a bit more wear and tear on the inside and the ink stamp is a bit more weathered on the 2012s thant the 2015 which tells me that at some point CMS did not put the bmw stamp on them, just the oem part number.

I noticed that in the picture you posted your wheel is also 2012.

On the inside of one of the spokes you can see a number 12 with a sort of crosshatch pattern stamp under it.

My 2012's have the number 12 there too. but the 2015 has the number 15 there.

I have searched the internet high and low and the general consensus is that if there is no bmw stamp then they are replicas.

But I could not find any replica of style 390 anywhere while searching specifically for that.

The only difference I can find between the rims aside from the stamp is that if I bang my knuckles on the 2015 one it produces a higher pitch sound that lasts a little longer.

The 2012's are less resonating and have a deeper tone. But it's very subtle and without a keen musical ear you could not tell the difference.

No idea if they are fake or not. I can't find definitive proof one way or another so when winter comes I'll just use them and if there are any problems I'll ditch them.

But all of them have the CMS stamp, so I believe they are in fact legit.

To be honest, if the 2012's are replicas then I want to officially congratulate whoever made them because visually they are freaking perfect.

I'm a 3d designer and I have a trained eye for fine details. I can't find any fault with them.

My summer wheels are 18 inch style 162. I was able to find replicas for the 162s, but the differences are super easy to spot in the angles under the ellipsoid holes and the edge of the rim.

With the 390's I just bought I cannot find a single difference looking at the 2015 and 2012 and at pictures on the internet.

Anyway. Sorry for the long post. If you get to read this let me know what conclusion you were able to draw for your 390's.
