One part and extremely long. Can't fit in the car.

Well just got a MPPSK system installed on my 440I X coupe. Basically as everyone described it sounds great. In comfort mode it is just a little louder than stock and in sport mode nice and throaty. Loud on initial start up until warmed up. I can not tell if its any faster or if pickup was better as there is too much traffic everywhere I have gone. What I like is that I can hear when to shift as I have a manual 6 mt. I grew up driving cars and shifting by sound and I like that. I got the chrome tips and they stick out a bit more but no big deal and I will leave them as is. I will chime in later as I get out more with the car. So its a great option though expensive.

Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay for the MPPSK (including chrome tips) in Australia?

The gauge by itself is not a true indicator. My 2016 showed 400 HP before and after MPPSK was installed. The gauge hand did change from under 350 to over 350 when on full throttle

I did get both the tune and exhaust. The power is there but I have a 6 MT and horsepower is less than the automatic version. The bigger reason I don't feel the power has just been the traffic near me. The traffic around me has gotten worse the last few years and they are fewer places you can drive freely. The MPPSK sound is wonderful and I like to shift aided by sound. Is it worth it ?....well it depends what you like and your finances. I like it but for those who decide not to get it because of the cost I totally understand. It gives you a little more power and a louder exhaust sound but it is a lot of money. The car is just as nice stock just quieter.

Well I just got a quote from a dealer in Canada offers me MPPSK for C$4300+tax+labor and M performance silencer for C$1530 + tex + labor. My question is is this kit really that expensive? Which one should I go? They also recommend me the Remus Cat back OR Milltek, does anyone have any suggestion?

Here in the US the MPSSK is approx. $3500 if bought after taking ownership. I don't know if you need the MPerformance silencer as the MPSSK gets you everything I think. Its a tune and full exhaust and sport muffler system with factory warranty which is the key part.

I started a thread in this forum, but I figure I might as well post here too. I have fitted and installed the MPPSK exhaust (no tune) on my M240I and am using the M Performance wiring harness for the valves, but they are stuck in the open position. Does anyone know how to reset the valves or teach the valves how to open and close? I really love the exhaust, especially with my ER catless downpipe. It's so loud but sounds freaking amazing. However, it's not the most practical sound for day to day driving.

I got the MPPSK installed today. If anyone is wondering what I paid it was 3,615.76$ installed with tax (carbon fiber exhaust tips) and it was done in NJ.
Everything is great and I am loving it only unfortunately when the parts came only 1 carbon fiber exhaust tip was delivered. So basically currently my exhaust has one carbon fiber tip and one exhaust tip I am guessing from my stock exhaust. I have my 2nd carbon fiber exhaust tip being delivered to my house and I was wondering if I would be able to remove the stock exhaust tip and install the carbon fiber one by myself? I would assume its pretty straight forward but I have no idea. Also when I was inspecting how the stock tip was installed I couldn't find any screws or clamps so I was also curious if anyone would know how that's fitted and how to take it off? Much appreciated, thanks! edit: Got the new exhaust tip and it literally took 2 mins to replace it, slid the old one off, slid the new one on and it was secured with a screw from the bottom side Last edited by fLatLinE-; 08-05-2019 at 05:55 PM.. |

Folks im having my MPPSK fitted this Thursday - is the sound Inside the cabin noticeably better? That's the main reason i'm getting it.....i don't really care how it sounds from outside.
i'm really hoping its a significant improvement and makes it sound more like a sports car, from the inside. |
