F30 Front Lips

Recently purchased and installed a JHP Dynamics M Performance Style carbon fiber front lip.
Very happy with how it turned out.

I've got the same one installed. Got a big rock chip through the clear coat within the first 2 days from normal highway driving. Wish I had Xpel'd it. Then the whole bottom split after I hit a road dip, so now the bottom bows down. It's solid for the price and looks great but gotta change it out soon unfortunately.

Damn, that sucks! Sorry to hear. The F30 is my daily, and I'm still on Msport suspension, so I havent had any issues with clearance on the lip YET. But as soon as I lower it, I'm sure that will change. Very very affordable lip, so even if I do destroy it, I wont be too upset!

did you install it yourself? fitment looks good, was it easy to get it to fit like that - some of the reviews on the ad say the fitment is not great so I've been hesitant

Yep, installed myself. I just used some blocks of wood and painters tape to hold it in place. Started in the middle and made sure it was snug while going around to the outside edges. Just take your time and it worked out better than I was expecting for the price

I ordered the same one from Ikon to replace my cracked Varis. i also got a really crappy lip. I know it's "unpainted" but it's also completely unfinished. there's scuffs all over it and the seams are completely uneven. i'm also returning it.

I wonder if the carbon version of the DP lip is less flimsy

That sucks man. Mine was like one of those water noodles, just flopping all over the place. Ideally I'd like a "rigid" ABS or PP lip that I can wrap in CF so when it gets scuffed/scraped I only wasted $10 worth of vinyl wrap instead of wrecking a $400 CF lip

yep, that's what i'm looking for as well. they don't seem to have the DP style in ABS which I think is supposed to be more rigid, but still more durable than FRP
