Using bimmercode, I did these changes:
- disabled the disclaimers on the screen when starting car etc. - fold/unfold mirrors with comfort access lock/unlock - angel eyes ON 100% with the low-beams on - switched to the rolls royce alert sound (it is pretty damn pleasant) - turn off radio when opening doors I'm sure i did some other stuff that I can't remember. Anyways, it worked like a charm and was insanely easy to use. Follow their instructions and get the iCar2 plug (not the iCar3). /edit/ oh i also enabled Video In Motion, although i haven't tried it yet Last edited by jpsimon; 06-28-2017 at 08:43 AM.. |

I went with the iCar2 (the recommended one by BC) and it works perfectly. They have a link on their website for the adapter that takes you right to the item on Amazon.

I used BimmerCode yesterday to do my first-ever BMW coding on my '13 328i. I used the recommended Vgate iCar2.
I turned on PSI/temp display for tires, enabled digital speedo, set ASS off by default, and disabled the startup legal disclaimer. No issues. (Well, except that enabling the digital speedo wiped out all trip meters and mpg/mph averages.) |

I just installed the 'F30 LCI M Performance (Black Line) Tail Lights' on my 2014 335i. I am pre-LCI and now have LCI tail lights. So, I am trying to figure out if I can do this without having to code (see below) manually in Bimmercode?
In the 'Facelift lights retrofitting' instructions from BMW it states that after installing the lights, 'the retrofit system requires programming/coding'. It goes on to further say that - – Connect the car to the ISTA work shop systemI know I could go and enter the code manually in expert mode though I have never done this personally. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. ;-) http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...54&postcount=1 [CODING] The coding of new fires is not required, since there is no error on the idrive but against there will flicker flashing at each startup If like me you do not want flickering lights here is the mod has to do with the E-sys software Flashing Rear: |

Using the app, I was able to have the mirrors open/closed whenever I unlock/lock car with no delay which is what I want. However the front windows move down a bit whoever I unlock the car. I'm guessing the windows and mirror are link. Anyway to unlink them so that the windows don't move? Thank you.

I've just used BimmerCode as well and it works fairly well. I did get some errors flash up like light bulb but disappeared after it flashed up. I will check this tomorrow. Things I've done so far and confirmed working: * Mirror fold (comfort closing delay) no delay * M (sport) Start animation * Temperature and pressure tire pressure * Start logo M performance |

I just bought the Bimmercode app last night and tried coding my mirrors to automatically fold/unfold when I lock the car with Comfort Access, but it's not working. The app said the coding completed successfully, but when I lock the car the mirrors don't fold.
Any ideas? |

I enabled the mirrors to fold automatically when I lock the car with Comfort Access, and unfold when I unlock it. That part didn't seem to work -- the mirrors do not fold when I lock the car by touching the top of the door handle.
I also changed the lane-change signal to 4 blinks instead of 3; that does appear to have worked. |

Never mind, I figured it out. I have to hold my finger on the door lock detents for about 1.5 seconds before the mirrors fold. Just tapping it to lock won't work.

I got the app and wifi dongle a while back. Works great! Wouldn't pay someone to do the job ever again.
And you can recode for free after service. Definitely recommend the app

I read the Carly and Bimmercode web site info., and I didn't see any info. on coding the following:
1) Unlock doors when put in Park 2) Turn on R/L fog light when R/L turn signal is active Does anyone know if these functions can be coded with either app. Also, forgive my ignorance, but where is the location of the car's connector that the adapter gets plugged in to? |

Comfort opening involves rolling down all the windows to cool the car and if you remove the delay they will begin to roll down the second you unlock. If you leave the delay of 2.5 on, the mirrors will unfold but the windows won't move.

I don't know, sorry - those aren't things I've ever looked in to. (From what I understand, anything that can be coded can be coded by this app, you just have to be in advanced (expert?) mode and know the parameter's raw name.)
