2017 Navigation Map Updates (Updated)

Hi all,

Wondering if someone can help (mainly aimed at Shawn I suspect!)

I recently became the proud owner of a 2013 520d ED F10 and it had the business navigation option. I thought I would update the maps as it still had the original. I purchased some 2018-2 MOVE map updates from navupdates.co.uk and eventually got them copied onto a 64GB (USB2) memory stick formatted as Fat32. Started the update (recognised the memory stick and allowed me to enter my purchased FSC code) and the upgrade bar showed.

Unfortunately I had to cancel the update as I couldn't be in the car for 45 mins. So, when I then started the car up the next day and selected the Navigation option, I was presented with a message asking me to insert the map update to continue. I did so but it hasn't updated and now won't load the maps at all.

I've done some research but cannot find anyone that has had the same issue but multiple articles about how to upload and also how to generate your own FSC code (hindsight is a wonderful thing).

I have a working copy of E-SYS and an eNET cable which I can connect to the car with. I just don't know what I'm doing though to be honest and haven't attempted any coding (I'm looking to enable enhanced bluetooth in the future but I digress...) Not sure if I have a combox though so need to check)

I also have BimmerCode on Android which I have enabled Eco Pro on start-up and the window mod to open/close the windows using the key but that's as far as I've got as I get an error when I connect to the HU_CICHB ECU. The thing is that I have the business option so I thought it would be HU_CHAMP2?? Not sure if this is relevant or not but thought I would include the information.

Sorry about the above convaluted rantings but hoping someone can help me out with this as I currently don't have any navigation any more......

No. EVO is actually NBT2 Head Unit, and is newer hardware than older NBT Head Unit.
