Personally i never push the car when cold, only after 160 deg F of the oil tempr. I suspect that some kind of safety is build in but only Dinan can make sure of that.

Does anyone have a pinout of the pressure sensor used by this unit? I want to hook up a boost gauge to the 5v wire coming out of the sensor before Dinantronics messes with values.

However the torque bump is addicting, butt dyno tells me the dyno curve doesnt lie and most of the power to be had is down low. This is where you spend 98% of your driving anyway so its loads of fun.

Install quoted 5 min. If you actually take 5 min. to install this you are overthinking it. Its insanely easy, use a flat head screw driver to pop the sensor off and plug the new ones in. I zip tied the module up and behind the wire loom so its almost impossible to see.

Overall for the price, its a no brainer.

Ill keep this updated if I have any other impressions or issues.
Can you post a picture of how you installed the unit?

I'd also be interested in where you installed this. Thanks in advance!

If we can trust these OBD readers, I had readings of 330+ both torque and hp on my n26 with only a bms sport chip and 93 octane))

Question

Hi, relatively new to BMWs here. Does the Dinantronics Sport module necessitate a change in spark plugs? Maybe one step colder? What is recommended?
Thanks!

It just plugs into the sensor right before your throttle plate and then the other harness portion of Dinatronics plugs into your original plug that went there. It is pretty simple and the neat thing about it is, when in comfort mode or Eco mode you are stock. When you go to sport or sport + the dinatronics kicks in and goes to what ever programing you have the app set so. If you have it set to stock it would be just stock in sport or sport+. If you have the app set to something else like sport + on it or race mode it goes to that. It works pretty good. I recently went to bootmod3 and can tell you that Dinatronics worked well bootmod3 is a little smoother for sure but over double price! Anyhow, my Dinatronics is for sale if anybody is interested. If you are in the Dallas areas I will even put it in and show you have to work the app!! PM me if interested.

The Dinan Sport works in all modes. You do not need to put the car into Sport to have it work. The car's mode settings does nothing other than increase throttle sensitivity anyway.

Installed my DinanTronics Sport on Monday. After 5 days of driving in different modes, I love it! After installing my AWE midpipe, I saw increased power in the higher RPM range, but it felt as though I lost a little bit in the low end. The DinanTronics Sport added noticeable gains in the low end in all 3 modes (Sport, Sport+, and Race) and made the car much faster and so much more fun to drive. Other than an intercooler and pipes upgrade, I'm happy with the power output for now. I will focus on other aspects (suspension, audio, brakes) before revisiting power output mods (intake, more sophisticated tuning, etc.) next year.
