Engine Misfire / Power Loss | N26 JB4

Hello,

I'm in need of some assistance with my JB4 tune. Current car specs.

Wagner Stage 2 FMIC
ER Catless Downpipe
ER Charge Pipe
ER Turbo To Intercooler Charge Pipe
Full 3" Super Sprint Front and Mid Pipe
MPPSK Exhaust
Injen Intake
JB4

I initially had an N20 engine which recently threw a rod and I replaced it with an N26. The car has always had a JB4 tune with the N20 engine and ran perfectly fine. I got my car back on Friday of last week after the engine was replaced and the car suddenly started experiencing substantial misfires and power loss. I'm currently on MAP 5 (Engine blew on MAP 7) and I'm completely out of ideas.

Recent changes since misfire started:

Changed LPFP
Changed HPFP
Cleaned MAF / Boost Pressure / Throotle body sensors
New Coil
New Spark Plugs gapped to .20

No luck at all so far. My next thought is to change the boost pressure sensor. Please advise.

I'm also unable to give the car full throttle. Whenever I attempt full throttle I experience complete power loss / Engine Misfire

Wow I don't know where to start. I am in Texas too and I would just say it probably the high rag weed content we have in the air!! It just has allergies to mods!

Also I loved your sentence "The car has always had a JB4 tune with the N20 engine and ran perfectly fine." Right before it exploded!

Anyhow I don't have much for you and I know your running a good amount of boost which needs a small gap but those plugs seem a little snug on the gap to me.

I would start by taking off the JB4, and making sure this isn't just an issue with the new engine.

is your car 320i or 328i because I'm confused why you be on map 5 because map 5 is only used for 320i.

I finally figured out what the issue was. When the mechanic put the car back together the JB4 was incorrectly wired. He had the wrong wires going to the MAP sensors at the charge pipe and Intake manifold. Switched the wires around and it drives like a dream now..

The car is a 2015 320i which came with an N20 engine. The replacement engine however was an N26. The only thing purchased was the N26 straight block as there was nothing wrong with any of the other components on the N20 engine when it blew. **This actually saved me $1000.

All the parts from the N20 engine (Alternator, Starter, DME etc... ) was then put back together on the N26 as they're all a direct fit..

All that being said, I beleive MAP 2 should be the appropriate tune. At least I hope it is.. lol

N26 is only used for 328i which uses 10:1 compression ratio. However, your 320i had originally 11:1 CR. So do you use 320i DME with 328i engine? That doesn't seem right or wise thing to do. Or did I misunderstood it?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I am using the 320 DME on the N26 engine. Its been good to me so far. Car still drives perfect but recently started showing a fault code 118002 mixture too rich.

Think I might need to change the DME to the N26 as well.
