Bootmod3 stage 2
Looking to go stage 2 I have a vrsf down pipe and need a FMIC. I can't seem to find one that people pair it with so I'm looking for some recommendations Mishimoto has a nice one but is also around $800. I started to look around more and Tuner motorsports has one as well for around $300 which sits nicely in my price range right now should I just wait and make the jump to mishmoto or is it not worth it. Heres both links.

I have the vrsf intercooler. I typically see a several degree temp drop during a pull. Fitment was a non issue, slid right in.
I feel like I heard some bad reviews for the bms intercooler back when I was shopping for mine. Though for the life if me I can't remember what they were. |

If you want to go BM3 Stage2 in a F3x (newer engines like B58 have a watercooled intercooler that doesn't require upgrade) then you'll need all three components. In any case give Mike at X-PH. He carries all of the brands at the best prices. Mike will help you figure out which options will work best for your car and budget. You will need these dealer parts too: DP- upper crush washer and lower clamp. Get upper clamp too just in case and return if not used. CP & Intercooler- two identical o-rings at pipe connections to intercooler. These only install in one direction or you get leaks. O-ring at throttle body end of CP. Don't cheap out and reuse o-rings. Troubleshooting and fixing a leak later is big $ compared to an 0-ring now. Hope this helps. |

For stage 2, i recommend a 6" intercooler. The 2 options you are looking at are 5". Check out Wagner EVO II Competition, CSF & VRSF 6.5" Competition intercooler
Thank you
