That's my hope as well, but I didn't dare to put that in writing

Agree, I don't think it's a chain issue, but rather the overall implementation with the plastic guides.

I am thinking of the TC assembly as a whole, which is what should be warrantied. If any component of the TC assembly fails, then the TC has failed. If the guides are the "weak link" (no pun intended) that compromise the assembly, then the TC has failed.

If this statement is true, cant the guides be replaced with removing the vanos and loosening the TC? I have all the tools including the engine support bar (I have the xdrive) but haven'nt found a garage I could use yet. But if its just the guide, I can do that almost immediately.

My extended coverage is expiring this fall, have to double check the "in service date" of the car, but it was built 9/13. (It's a 14' MY).
The local dealership has agreed to check it over for the issue. Free if they find something, but diagnostic fee if they don't find anything related to the extended warranty. Does this make sense? Low mileage (30k), oil samples every change, no issues yet. I'd like peace of mind moving forward without coverage of anykind. |

I intend to keep the car until about 200k and don't want to be stranded on a long road trip. It was well worth the cost of replacement to me. I don't panic every time I think I hear "the sound" from under the hood. For me it was a no-brainer, and even with that expense, this has been a very low cost vehicle. I bought it used and maintain it myself. This has been the only larger expense in four years and 90k miles. |

To be clear, as far as can be seen, nothing has been said about cancelling the 7/13 date... correct?

Per sjbender, I know the update before that was for 7/13/2020. And I just realized that other than in the cancellation notice, the 6/30/2020 date was nowhere mentioned before. Now I am confused. Are we talking about two different dates here? |

Here's to hoping that it means that the 6/30 date was just no longer needed and that things are on track to (fingers crossed) be resolved on 7/13.

I am thinking that they just cancelled the pre-trial conference (6/30) in the courthouse, may be conducted over the phone.
The 7/13 still is scheduled as of tonight. |

Ok, but I'm trying to understand what they're trying to settle. And if it will cover 2nd/3rd owners, and if it will cover all years of the n20. Has any of this information been brought up anywhere?
