Headlight question

So I cracked my headlight lens and everything on the passenger side. I don’t know what would be my best option and I was looking online to buy a set but see a difference between halogen and xenon adaptive and all this stuff. I checked my vin online to see what I had and just wanted to see if someone could confirm and maybe provide me with somethings I can do to get a headlight or headlights.

It's probably a bad idea to use your email address as your user name.

So that is what I am trying to do but in all honesty. I really don’t know why these f30 headlights are so complicated

Roger that. Spambots cruise the internet in search of email addresses to bombard with their junk. When someone registers on my forum using their email address as the user name I delete it and notify them why.

OP, you can get the part numbers at realoem.com

You have adaptive xenon (HID) headlights. They are expensive but there are aftermarket options if you want to go that route. Aftermarket headlights will not be adaptive so you will probably need to code that out or you will get a constant error.

Thank you for your reply, if I did take that route this is what I was thinking I might need because as of now I do have a message for adaptive headlight.

I had the adaptive headlights and one of mine was in really bad condition. I was in the same situation. since the headlights are so nice and expensive ($2000USD) when I checked I decided to fix them myself. I purchased a replacement lens housing online and watched a couple diy videos. it wasn't easy but I was able to do it. check my page I have a few pics when I fixed it. aftermarket headlights are cool but you can never go wrong with the original adaptive headlights.

I'll never go with aftermarket lights again! Spending less money to get something that doesn't match oem quality so that it fails and you have to buy the expensive one anynway is not an option for me.

Anecdotal, especially when you factor in price and diminishing returns.

Why do people go aftermarket in the first place? Cause OEM failed.

Post a photo of the damage so we can have a better idea of what you’re dealing with.

Thank you everyone for your replies this is it. The angel eyes aren’t working. I might end up just buying the lens and trying to fix the lens. I have the adaptive headlight malfunction light on in the car. The low beam light is the only one working as of now.

definitely jump on that, if you get contaminate in the lens housing you could lose complete functionality of the headlight and then you really will be buying a whole new one.

Thank you for the input Erick that’s what I was thinking to, I tried to tape it up as best I can. I ordered the lens so hopefully it comes out good. I just don’t know how to get these damn angel eyes working again. I also have this adaptive headlight malfunction light on too so I don’t know if I have to buy a module or something.
