2018 330e. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts on a 2018 330e? I'm thinking of picking one up- has low mileage and would help with my commute! Any known issues you know of? Thanks in advance!

The kle unit have been known to fail. It controls the charging. But other than that they are showing to be reliable so fast

What is the price point of 2018 F30 330e?

My local dealers had lucrative discounts on 2021 G20 330e, e.g.

$2.5k corporate
$2k dealer cash
invoice pricing
$1.5k trunk money
$1167 CA clean fuel reward
$5836 fed tax credit

A MSRP $45k 330i can $13k-$16k discount + tax + fees, so it may be worth checking brand new 2021 vs. inflated used 2018.

Beautiful car to drive, and you basically get 2 cars in 1. You can waft around the town/suburban on the electric and it really is a nice experience, takes the stress out of driving and then when you put your foot down, it turns into a different animal. I'd say go for a test drive at the very minimum.

Yes I enjoy the contrasts between wafting around on electric in eco pro, then popping it into sport and letting the true performance kick in.

I’d recommend bmw insured warranty if you don’t have the years used authorised one. I had a turbo replaced to the tune of £3000 just under a week before it ended, it made my mind up to pay £40 per month for fully comp warranty which would also cover the KLE - that is thousands on its own!

Yes, wishing I had the insured warranty on my own one, only dealer warranty which is which is more limited than I was told. Having a gearbox judder issue. Mine is higher mileage 115k and the gearbox replacement is eye wateringly expensive.

OP if higher mileage have the gearbox adaptation values checked by a tech. If outside normal range walk away.
