Ah yes, I see it mounts on the inside part now and not to the actual suspension mounting points themself's. Shame...

Nice!!

Could you post some more pictures of your wheel/tire combo?
Did you do some bodywork to fit the m3/m4 wheels?

Thanks!

It also serves as good decoration as well

The strut was unbelievably light, kind of felt like styrofoam.

With all the $$$ you're dumping into your car, why not just trade it in for an actual M4, or better yet, go for an M2? That way you avoid the potential poseur label.

Doesn't such a mod demand for a wheel alignment to make sure everything is correct?

I Remember when installing a strut brace on my Volvo, I had to to a whole realignment of the wheels to make sure they hadn't been effected because of the mod. But then again mine was only a tower strut brace, That i modded my car with.

This fits a 3 series, even 2 series probably (it does fit an M2).

Not sure it's necessary, it doesn't change the geometry, just the dynamics. But doing a geometry sure never hurts.

There has to be a better strut-only solution than this. IMO waste of money, but it's your money so have at it.

I've gotta wonder how much the carbon piece actually does, if anything. And am I the only one that thinks it looks like a flattened hose.

Today the patch on the end of strut side .... it must be bridged between strut and body (a-pillar). Originally this bracket must be welded but .. just inserting it into .. It looks fine (must be tested) at least at the point of tension ...

And someone or many of you might think this is totally useless for 4 series ... or usually recommended to buy M3 or M4 .. but some countrylike south asia ... the price is so high over$200,000 .. (in my country M4 is $100,000) My point is all of tuning is relative in different environment. Or to someone like me, the process itself is enjoyment .. Moreover, my car has E9x body feeling now ...

Anyway, temporal used rubber bushing was removed and new bracket found it's place ...

I would be interested if an F8x owner could show us how it looks on their A-pillar?

Of course it does something. It's limiting body twist. If you had both the carbon piece and the alloy cross brace in hand, it would be quite obvious. The stock cross brace on the F3x is a bandaid on a gapping wound in comparison to this setup for vehicles that are tracked.

Further, if you do track your car, and you have a chance to look at the underside of your fender where the the strut tower attaches, I think people would be shocked. Excuse the pun. Stage 5, or probably when the strut bearings are replaced, Would be some kind of reinforcement for the underside of the tower. I think I saw something of that nature on Turner Motorsports webpage.

If you're a street driver, whatever, you're money is better spent elsewhere as some of you guys will throw money at sound and bling before performance. Each to his own.

Steve's shown us F3x owners a great mod.
