from your pics, imo your tire diameter is too small. this is also causing your gaps to be larger. OEM is 26". yours is 25.4" which equates to 0.3" more gap compared to OEM by using that diameter. OEM diameter or 235/45/18(26.4") would have been better for gaps, albeit with meaty sidewall thickness. or you have to run B8 struts with H&R lowering springs or coilovers.
link below has 235/45/18 @ ET30 lowered. gaps are tight. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...71&postcount=1 |

was the ride height with blown struts similar to slightly lowered? anyhow, like i said earlier, fresh B6 which sit higher and the small diameter tire size is what is causing the appearance. fwiw the smaller diameter causes your speedo to read high and odometer to accrue more mileage by a small percent.
245/40/18(25.7") or 235/45/18(26.3") are the sizes you should use on 18x8 400M. see links below https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...16&postcount=7 https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=30 if the locating pin and strut seated properly during install, then there is nothing to consider. i suppose you could force it to sit lower within the spindle but i wouldn't do it. . |
