Coding in Calgary

Does anybody have any experience coding their F30 in the Calgary area? Would love to have some help with the process and to test a cable I bought (which I think is defective).

Had some coding done on my F31 at ECU Tune and was quite happy. Just off 42nd Avenue East of Macleod.

May I ask how much did they charge for the coding? Is it per how much you want to code or just a standard flat rate?

It was a flat fee depending upon the number of features you want coded. Correction, they are called ECU Program.

ECU program is very good, had some good codings there. Just be careful when you have your schedualed maintainess, BMW may erase all your codings.

I called them and it was $50 per item I wanted coded. I have quite a list of stuff I want coded so it adds up quickly. If BMW does reset the coding, does ECU program offer recodes for cheap/free? I would hate to pay another few hundred bucks just to have everything enabled again. That's why I'm looking into doing it myself first.

Just curious what did you get coded into your car?

Hello mate, can't help you personally with the coding other than to say it is simple to do and costs only $20 or so for the cable. So just hook in and do it yourself.

I was lucky enough to spend some time in your beautiful country (and City) last year.My son plays in a marching band who played at the Stampede (voted third in the parade). Everyone in the city (and the places we visited in your country) made us all feel very welcome. Thanks

I had sport display, auto mirror close through key, erase the accept page in the screen when you start the car, which makes your computer run faster.

Codings are actually based on your car, it's better to give them your model and ask for the options that you can actually get.

I haven't asked them about recode yet, it's reasonable to have discount for it since they didn't mention that bmw is gonna reset the system.

They lump coding items into bundles or individually. If I recall correctly, I think it is up to 8 items for $250. They have smaller bundles as well.

They include a one time recoding in the event that the dealer upgrades software and the features are erased. That happened to me when I had software updated because of Sat radio problems and there were no questions asked and did it as I waited.

I had several features coded including mirrors turning in on locking, digital speedo in centre cluster, different start screen, rear hatch close with key fob and fog lights on with unlock.

Thanks for all the input. I just bought all the parts to build a cable myself. If that doesn't work then I'll give ECU Program a try.

I am also looking to get a couple items coded (mainly Euro MDM and Euro spec Adaptive LED Headlights). If someone can code these items for me please let me know.
