BMS Stage 1 Compatibility Question

Folks, a fellow member is selling his BMS Stage 1 off of his 2013 335i xDrive. I have a 2016 435i xDrive and my understanding is that the Type B TMAP connection on 2014+ models is different and as such the 2013 version won't work with my car. I know that 2012 and 2013 N55s also have a Type B TMAP connection but 2014+ are different and as such BMS sells a separate variant for 2014+ models.

However, the fellow member insists that I am mistaken about this and that it will indeed work for my car. Before I agree to purchase, can someone knowledgeable about this weigh in. I would hate to purchase this only to find out it doesn't work or worse that it damaged something on my 2016 F33.

Haven't dealt with this one, but your best bet would be to reach out to PTF for confirmation before purchasing it. They can also double check that the license you are trying to buy is still available to be transferred.

you need to get ahold of BMS and ask them.. I mean, it is their product.

+1. Get the serial/model info from the seller, contact BMS, and confirm compatibility with your vehicle.

as long as the BMS stage 1 has type B, its the same for both cars
