Yep .. and it's £750 for the cheapo version of it too

I paid £599 for my 7 a couple of years ago but that's around the limit of what I'm prepared to pay for a smartphone.

I might consider the Xr, it has bigger screen & longer battery life than the X/Xs, and as far as I can see all you lose is the second lens and the OLED screen which I don’t think is going to bother me!

3. Launch a new large-screen model to fill a market demand at a higher price. CHECK
4. Samsung fanboys aghast that these phones cost more than the crash-meisters, despite similar features. How could anyone even want one? CHECK
5. Apple revenues up. Apple share-price up (although these launches may have been priced-in). Happy users.

Just to add that when I got my Note8, I posted on here that it could finally be the phone that got me away from Apple. I was blown away by the screen and some of the features. Living with it changed that initial perception.
Samsung = Audi, gloss over substance.

I think I will be saving the pennies for an XS Max 512gb as I want the bigger screen and my 256gb ip7 is 90+% full.

Do you take many photos? I find the second lens on my Note something of a game-changer and wouldn't buy another phone without one.

3D Touch while potentially useful, is a very under-used feature. Apps don't say which functions are available via that, even Apple doesn't really say what is natively available.

If you find something, it's by accident.

Haptic Touch (!) will be available for iOS-native apps.

I may just stick with my 7 for another year.

I’m still not convinced that Face ID is a better alternative to Touch ID either. Also, what’s with the constant need to make the damn things bigger each year. I need to be able to fit the thing in a pocket, and the 7 is about the sweet spot (for me) between screen size and pocketability.

If I want a bigger screen that won’t comfortably fit in a pocket, I’ll just reach for my iPad

My 7 still does everything I need of it, and isn’t slow. Wireless charging is about the only thing I’d like.
