Cleaning carbon fiber exhaust tips?

Any suggestions on how to clean and protect the stainless under the carbon fiber sleeves? I use Blue Magic but applied to what I could including the exposed area where the M is etched in, but buffing it out is difficult because of the tight space between carbon fiber and stainless steel. At least it didn't harm the carbon fiber as I wiped it off quickly. I am guessing I'll only get what I can to protect against winter salt and what continues further under the sleeve won't be possible to protect.

what about using some alloy cleaning spray leave for a few minutes then jet washing? that's why i opted for the stainless steel.. I've sprayed them black, but extra crevisis are a bugger to clean.
