Map 3 I have never tried since it will only be worse - and I risk throwing a code. And I do NOT want to leave any evidence. One misnomer is that the JB4 erases codes. It does not.. it remove the check engine light.. the code is stored forever.

Map 1 plus MPPSK is like running Map 2 for a stock motor. I get about 15 PSI in the winter and 16 PSI in the summer - Base target is lower in the winter for some reason (but timing is higher).

Map 1 I always hold target - rarely see timing drops... Map 2 - one day no issues another cant hold timing. What that means is one day your like holy shit! this is fast.. the other day your like - WTF where did my power go? No change in fuel, etc. Even little change in weather. No reason...(of course there is just subtle enough I dont see but enough for the motor to change parameters.)

Honestly I hate the computer in this car - its too variable.

He is also running MPPSK, which changes it a little.

I think JB4 would be an improvement either way. You can customize it to suit your needs, fuel quality, density altitude, etc.

No... JB+ is dumb and doesnt know of any parameters outside boost - thus acceleration is not smooth; shifting is not smooth.

Also JB+ on the MPPSK IMO is dangerious - its far better to see whats going on then guessing... Octane, Temp, etc. all affect whether or not timing will be affected..

JB4 maps will compensate..

JB4 i would recommend over the JB+ for sure with a MPPSK

JB+ is good to start Im pretty confident over time you will wish you had the JB4.. Too many complain on drivability - its because you can see whats going on - usually too much boost for octane.

Good news is you can upgrade in the 1st year...

JB+ is a pretty basic boost adder.. For the price its an amazing deal, but drivability is much better with JB4.

Graduated from the JB+ to the JB4 with CAI and Catless VRSF. Tried out Map3 today on 1/2 tank of 90 EF and 1/2 100 octane. Was a big difference from the map 1. Did a second gear pull starting at 2.5k and my summer tires lit right up. Planning to put it on a dyno this year.
