What Uplifting Photos Do Share?
It’s hard to find anything these days that isn’t gloom, doom and Coronavirus so I thought in this time of social restrictions it might help those struggling a little to see & hear something a bit more positive.
The ‘rules’ are simple; 1. One picture per post 2. It must be a picture you or your family have taken, not something off the internet 3. Subject matter is irrelevant - anything (within reason) goes 4. If you feel you can, share why it’s an image that makes you happy or just lifts your spirits. Just posting with no words is fine too. 5. Be nice. There’s enough shittiness in the world just now And no, you have not inadvertently stumbled across Mumsnet..... I’ll kick off.... These are my two granddaughters, taken about 18 months ago just after the birth of the second. They mean the world to me and lockdown is tough - we can see them on social media but I miss being able to pick them up.... |

The genuine reaction of my 2 boys Isaac 8 and Elijah 4 of going through the Mersey Tunnel a couple of weeks back.
Elijah got scared and cried halfway through when Isaac pointed out that we were under the river and he could see cracks with water pouring through |

The car might not move any more, but the 'plank' is still useful for raspberry refuel mid-scootering.

When I go home to visit the family in the Isle of Man, we always visit the Sound Cafe. Here you can see the Calf of Man and my uplifting kids!
Along with the Mrs were a really close team I though of showing how my son has gone from 3 months premature and 2lb9 to where he is now. Thank the lord or whoever everything worked out, but it wouldn't be fair to make it just him, so yeah ... these two little/big lovelies.

Was that at Machrie or Killinallan? Both fantastic places. My family comes from Islay, though I wasn't born there. As you say a fabulous (if a bit windswept) place and miles of brilliant beaches for the kids to run riot on. Happy days....

Just to change subject, happy hiking holidays a few years ago with the missus in the Swiss Alps. This one was taken just below the Matterhorn I think, near Gornergrat. Went up to the glacier at over 12,000 feet - what an experience. Love the high mountains....

Looking forward, spring is coming... (later up here). As we are confined to home... just a few weeks and it will be something like this spring pic', from my home office window.
So thankful we have some 'dimension' outside. |

Being positive but restricted, I like to remember some of my favourite drives and the scenery that is still out there. Viewing my photo albums help keep things in perspective.
Glen Shiel is top of my list, and not too far from home, (~50 miles away). Will look something like this, as the photo was taken late April. |

Great idea from the OP.
Enjoyed looking at people's posts. I have a 10 and 6 year old and it feels like they are the glue holding families together. Both sets of grandparents are missing them and vice versa. FaceTime is a savour! I do hope this has no lasting impact on them. I am working from 5am so that I can get stuff done to give the kids my time time to keep the well. Here are 2 pictures from our recent holiday in Whitby; which reminds me of the time we could go and do whatever we want. Just for clarification, my daughter was asking for 2 sweets. Picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. Hope it doesn't offend anybody. |

This little guy is two years old tomorrow.
And this little lady brought her money box to my bed last week, and said "Daddy, if your customers won't give you any money I have £2.22 and you can have it." Reasons to MARCH ON. |
