Certainly is, lack of pollution must be making it a bit clearer. I didn't think you'd be able to see that far.

That could be Broncho's daughter you're talking about.

Some magnificent trees in the local NTS woodland, plus a creepy-as-feck doll someone left behind.....

Check out the negative camber on my son's Jeep. It's been finely tuned from two years of driving off curbs and hitting boulders.

My grandad wore exactly the same badges - He was 2nd Battalion Glasgow Highlanders. Do you know what battalion your Great Grandad was in?

My grandad was from Surrey, but served in a Scottish regiment. As far as I understand, Glasgow Highlanders were one battalion where volunteers were assigned (rather than signing up due to conscription)

Chris, love this! I was just thinking the other day that a MX-5 might just be the answer to the fun motoring question. Whilst I'd love the answer to be '911', realistically never going to have the funds for that and the main family car. But a MX-5 as a sideline in a few year's time, maybe!

I will probably have a 2014 Elise SCR for sale very soon if you want some proper open top motoring

Joking aside the MX5 is a great car, my wife had a 2012 Hard Top retractable jobbie and I used it more than her. Just be prepared for all the ignorant idiots, calling it a girlie car though. Usually the same boneheads down the Golf Club that thinks a Range Rover is the automotive peak

Currently have an Auris and a Discovery, both of which I adore, so pretty immune to what others think

Would love an Elise, but a bit more hardcore and high maintenance than I'd want from a third car. I've just driven one Lotus - a '92 Elan. Best fwd car I've steered by a country mile, in fact best any car. Getting back in the 440i was a shock - that's far closer to the Disco than the Elan when it comes to handling. So I definitely get the Lotus 'thing'.
