M sport side rockers keep popping out in the back

Some time ago I installed M sport side rockers on my sport line. Looks great. They came off the same year and model as my car and the clips line up exactly the same. I can find no missing or broken tabs or clips. The clips appear to be just part of the plastic body holding the panels on. No additional hardware. The fronts never move. Back always pops out a little (1st and 2nd clips). I pop them back in routinely. It's barely noticable but annoys me. The originals did not have 3m tape on them when removed, but I have some if that's the answer.

Anybody know why they'd routinely come unclipped in the back? Can't locate an answer.

Nobody? Just 3m tape them and call it good? Any other suggestions on something I may be missing?

Not normal for them to pop off, is it possible your rear fender/quarter panel is on correctly/no issues either? I'd say give the double sided 3m tape a try if you cant figure anything else out.

I took the originals off myself. Pretty sure they are fine, no issues? It's definitely odd and I can't figure out what the deal is. They snap in, but the very back clip or two just pop loose. Can barely tell like I said, but it's pissin me off I cant figure it out Haha.

Possible that the wheel liner is used somewhat as a clamp to help hold it? Sorry i'm just taking any stab in the dark to help you before having to go at it with the 3M!

Thanks! I've been thinking maybe I gotta push them in tighter underneath before I put the plastic screws back in? It's barely noticable like I said. But I am annoyed by it lol. I've worked pretty hard to make my car what I want it to be. I appreciate the help

Are you 100% sure they are factory m sport sideskirts? I ask because I have an aftermarket set that have the same issue and it also drives me nuts. I will pop it in and maybe a day later if I open the back door I can see maybe 1/4 gap and have to pop it back in.

I'm 100% sure they are OEM yeah. Came off a 2013 jet black m sport. Well, I didn't check the vin, but if it was a conversion it was 100% complete. Wheels, bumpers, rockers, steering wheel, shifter, blue stripe dash. So I'm 99% sure they're OEM anyway? I guess I never considered that since the car looked factory.

Your probably right that it was factory but I did a complete conversion listing everything except wheels because I went aftermarket. But only way to know. for sure is to take it off and check the inside for BMW insignia. Unfortunately knowing if it's aftermarket or factory won't fix our dillema of our sideskirts slightly popping off in the back.

I have been trying to figure out a way to get them to stay forever with no luck. I don't know where I could even use 3m tape to hold it on because it's the clips popping out. Well if it's the same spot as mine. I'll grab a picture and see if we have the same issue. Maybe together we can figure something out.

So I went to take a picture and noticed mine was still holding tight for like a week now. So I didn't want to disturb it fitting correctly.

Well I figured out mine were not oem, but eventually I opened all the doors and got them knocked all the way in, the whole way down, and I stopped having the same issues.

Did you buy all new clips and replace them when you installed the new rockers?

If not, you prolly should have - I know, you would think they are good for a couple R&R's, but fact of the matter is, their tightness degrades every time you pull them out

I always make it a habit of replacing any/all clips when I am installing new parts

Are the clips attached to the body? The rockers themselves have no detachable clips on them.
