Any other 340i ZHP's out there?

Hey guys,
I semi-recently picked up a 340i ZHP 6-speed in Melbourne Red with 25,000 miles back in November. I have been trying to compile the VIN numbers for the rest of the 340i ZHPs out there and sort them by transmission through Vin Wiki, and when I get more of them ill make a spreadsheet of all of the VIN numbers with associated cars. If any of the fellow ZHP owners could drop a picture or two with their VIN number and transmission I would be very appreciative!

thanks,
-Ethan

I’ll say it started with a 4. It was worth every penny, it was so hard to find one as nice as my last.

Sounds about right. ZHPs are really hard to find. Nice pickup! Enjoy it.

If it makes ya feel any better, I paid $37k for my 6MT, non ZHP about a year ago lol. Don't regret it a bit. These cars are such a blast to drive.

Oh I agree man. I used to have another 2018 340i 6MT. It was loaded, executive pack, track handling, m sport, Mineral Grey over coral red, MPPSK, LSD. It was perfect. Bought it back in 2021 with 14k miles for 39k. Put 43k miles on it until a degenerate decided to run a red light and hit me.

Oh it was man, especially because the dude was eating a sandwich and showed no remorse or even said sorry. But I couldn’t settle for an auto or a car I didn’t like.

Luckily with some explaining to the officers that showed up, they wrote him a few tickets. Which most likely weren’t too kind as I was in Virginia

Thanks man! The Red is awesome, especially after I had it paint corrected and coated with a Gyeon coating! There are days when I wish for the heated steering wheel, or the adaptive leds, and occasionally the bigger M brakes from the old car. But it’ll be a couple easy DIYs(minus the headlights) to get it to where I had the last one

personally I did the adaptive headlight retrofit, my car had most of the packages from factory and I thought they are a worthy upgrade (which they are). if I were you, i'd retrofit all the features you miss, ie the heated wheel and headlights. make your car even more of a unicorn! plus those mods add value.

ALL ZHPs were configured by BMW w/out Dealer input.
All had Prem pack, 609 Nav, 704 suspension, NonAdaptive LEDs lights. And 19 staggered wheels.

you could have had THP as an option, but non have it.

The whole point of the ZHP package was to give you everything you want, and nothing extra. And it definitely makes for a more connected driving experience. No extra crap that I don’t care for. But I do like a heated steering wheel, and the adaptive LEDs are definitely pretty awesome. But I do enjoy having no sensors or extra annoying saftey crap as in BSM, front collision warning, and pdc

I wish they made them with at least the upgraded brakes. I don’t think the steering was that much better in my prior THP car. Honestly, I think I feel more of the road without it. The suspension did feel a little more hunkered down in sport mode, but not that much more. And the extra oil cooler was great, never noticed the car go any hotter than the usual running temp.

All ZHPs in US were speced by BMW and shipped to dealers. They had options you could pick from but nobody knew of the model ahead of time so all were equipped the same.
704 suspension
prem pack with heated seats
609 navigation with bT streaming
19 wheels
LED non adaptive lights

THP was an option. But none were sold with it.

I ended up adding orange M Perf brakes and oem CarPlay.

The only thing I miss is heated steering wheel.

Yup, I’ve got the “ordering guide” thing from back in the day, it says THP was available but I have 0 idea why none were speced that way

"Everything you want" is a bit of a stretch. Maybe those safety features are not desirable for you, but if wager most people wouldn't mind having them. BMW could have packaged the ZHP better. Heck my regular spec 340i with m sport has adaptive lights, adaptive suspension, big brakes, rwd with 6MT, PDC, top down cameras and I added LSD. Even without the LSD I think I'd choose it over a ZHP.

Well my last one had everything, and I also had a 2010 328i wagon with the 6 speed. Single hump, manual seats, xenon’s, and sport package. Absolutely nothing at all. And it was refreshing, nothing extra to break, and nothing to distract me from driving. The ZHP was made as a “send off” to the manual 3 series, and to pay homage to the original ZHP. So I think it’s fitting that it doesn’t have any of the extra stuff. I think it is a perfect middle ground of those two cars, I added CarPlay to have the Waze on my Nav screen but other than that there really isn’t any tech feature that I find myself missing.
