FS: RaceChip RS Tuning Box for N57 30d *£100 delivered*

Recently removed from my Wife's X5 before it goes...

Noticeable increase in performance over stock. Currently listed on eBay but would do for £100 delivered for a forum member if interested, these retail at around £279.

Cheers

BUMP

No interest? For the money this would be a fairly low cost route to tuning for someone not ready to go for a full on remap. It's certainly adding minimal gains sat in a drawer

I’ve got one of these. They certainly increase the power on the car. Only issues is the mpg dropped dramatically for me

Yeah none of these boxes deliver claimed increased mpg figures, the trip computer might tell you otherwise but it's being fed manipulated data alongside the ECU. Was the same when I had the 330d remapped, if you want more power then prepare for an economy hit - you can't have your cake and eat it.

Yeah they mislead people saying the mpg will improve. Without the box I’m getting 44mpg with the box even on eco setting I was getting 34mpg at best

That is quite a hit - we didn't have the app control with ours, but it was left in the default setting (4) and we probably say a 3-4mpg hit based on fuelly over the past 12 months.

My wife's driving is typically short journeys, so the mpg is never going to be good which has maybe shielded us slightly? That said, it's maybe worth a chat with Racechip if you're seeing such a big impact on like for like driving.
