Do I need a tune if I get a NON CEL downpipe?

A part of how I may be able to justify the price is if I wouldn't have to buy a tune

you never NEED a tune for a DP, but half of the reason to get a DP is so that you can run a tune and unlock the additional power. You can run any DP without a tune, but you are leaving a bunch of power on the table

im assuming your concern is not power and just drivability and the check engine light. if that's the case, you do not need a tune.

If you want more power, tune + downpipe is an excellent combo

I actually wonder. When I put my stage 2 back to the stock tune I give the stock tune like 60 miles of driving. Then it feels almost as powerful as the tune but not as quick. A sprint booster would solve that issue.

He may mean that the throttle response and torque are there, but overall it's not as strong as the tune. This is actually true, but the tune adds more torque and power overall over the stock tune.

if he is going back to stock, depending on his fueling, he is losing up to 100 whp and 135 wtq. the drop in power is big. That's why saying the power is still there is confusing to me.

A catted Downpipe that will not throw CEL is an expensive proposition, but that being said it will keep you on the right side of the law regarding emissions tests should you need to do so. I have the Active Autowerks catted version which is guaranteed to not shoot CEL and is the only one I know of that is EPA certified. Nice product and they stand behind the warranty of no CEL.
Now should you add such a pipe and have intentions of a tune then get rid of the factory charge pipe and increase your intercooler size. If your 435 is an F33 then feel free to contact me regarding the unique nature of an F33.
