Issue with Resetting Service Intervals

Hi y'all. So recently my old SLI module "died" and I stopped getting speed limit information on my heads-up display. I ordered the new model by Emtronika (which now display in US/MPH) and out of lazyness (I know, I know) didn't unplug the battery when swapping out the module on the instrument cluster.

After replacing everything I suddenly started getting the message that I'm overdue for replacing the engine oil, which I just replaced like the week prior and reset the interval via the instrument cluster. Interestingly enough, it actually reverted the "Due date" back to what it was before I reset it last -- 05/22. I thought weird, and then went through the reset process in the instrument cluster once again -- it successfully reset and the headunit shows 12000 miles left and 08/24 as the date. Upon startup the next day I get the message that engine oil service is overdue since 05/22 again! The reset only lasts as long as the trip, and once the car is turned off (and goes to sleep) it reverts back to the old date. I tried resetting through ISTA: Vehicle Management-->Service Functions-->Maintenance and Pre-deliver Check-->Reset CBS Condition Based Service-->CBS Reset UDS -- exact same results. I'm guessing the service information itself is stored in the head unit? The question is is the headunit resetting the date after it goes to sleep or is the instrument cluster writing the wrong date to the headunit. Anyone have any idea to what the specific issue could be, beyond that I probably should have unplugged the battery when doing the swap?

Tried without the SLI emulator plugged in? If everything works fine then you know that is what’s responsible, for whatever reason.

Sorry for the late reply, I've let this one sit on the back burner because it's no big deal -- just annoying to get the message every time I start the car. Yes I have tried without the emulator plugged in as well and it still reverts back when the car goes to sleep. Any other ideas from anyone?

Did you reset it in iDrive? That's where I do it, not in the instrument cluster.

I believe on the I-drive you can only measure the oil level, not reset the interval itself. Unless there's a procedure I'm not aware of?
