M Performance power kit installed

This is the 250kW kit(~335hp). There are noticeable difference after the kits are installed, comfort mode is more like the old sport mode, and sport mode has increased throttle response across all RPMs. It feels much faster than the 440xi loaner car that I got during the installation. There is also no difference in terms of gas mileage after a 300-mile trip.

Congrats ! I've been seriously thinking about installing it as well but the dealership in Montreal, QC is asking $2950 + labor and tax ! How much did it cost you?

Total cost is about $1500USD including $225 labor. This is for MY2016. The labor cost may be higher for older cars I heard.

Even with today?s conversion rate that?s at least an $1000 less. Guess i?ll have to look for a BMW dealer near the border. Thanks for info.

MPPK is available for F34 335i MY2013-MY2016. It is the same kit used in F30 335i. The car is the picture is MY2016.

The new LCI 340i has a new kit, I?m not sure if there is a version for the F34 GT yet.

So you got a brand new engine cover along with the kit, right?
I ask because my friend did not get it, nor did he get any vinyl on the side skirt...

Yes the kit comes with a new engine cover, a new air intake box(not shown in the picture), and a few stickers. You can refer to this thread for more pictures:

Finally got the M Performance Power Kit installed !

I ended up ordering the power kit on Ebay from a US BMW dealership for about $1300 USD which translates to roughly $1750 CAD in total. Canadian dealers are asking $3400 and installation cost is extra.

Labour cost was about $250 since it took them 1.6 hours which is what I had expected.

- They replaced the air intake
- Put the "Power Kit sticker" under the hood
- They changed the engine cover
- Put M Performance stickers on the rocker panels
- Sport display shows increased power figures

Love the car even more now !

Those who have had the MPPK for awhile now, any new thoughts? I asked my dealer about it today. $1600 for the kit and something like $300+ for labor. So almost $2k for 35HP, a new air intake, and an ignition coil cover with some stickers?

Or does the tune make a significant impact with the turbo kicking in much sooner? Any buyer's remorse, or totally worth it?

Also, do you notice any difference in the sound? My rep at the dealer said that because there's no M exhaust kit for the GT, there's not really going to be a sound difference.

It's actually 320 HP and 332 torque. Though on some vehicles it is 335 HP

Just something to keep in mind... If you spend ~$1.5k on something you're more than likely going to think it's worth it.

I think it's a great mod, but it's like asking people in this forum if they like BMWs... more likely than not they will say yes.

The F34 GTs do not get LCI refresh until MY 2017. MY2016 still uses the old N55 engine.

I asked the dealer. Didn't want to risk a misc. shop f*cking it up.

By having it installed at the dealer, I believe they updated other codings since mine is a 2014 model. The steering feel definitely improved as it became more firm.

After 6 months, i'm still loving it.
