Estoril Blue 335 on V803s with MPS4S

I finally made the long hard decision we've all had to make. What wheels do i go with for my car? That decision was easy once i saw a post from VMR highlighting their V803s in Hypersilver. I was torn between square and staggered but once they arrived I was glad I went with staggered. I placed my order through WheelsDC and Mike was great. The transaction was smooth and he was quick to answer any questions I had regarding time frame, tpms, tire choices, etc... I placed my order and in quick fashion the wheels were out for delivery.

Specs are:
  • 19x8.5 et35 235/40/19 Pilot Sport 4s
  • 19x9.5 et45 265/35/19 Pilot Sport 4s

My car is xdrive and for me these wheels with the chosen offsets fit perfectly flush at this ride height. I couldn't imagine how much they would have poked if i went with a lot of other wheel companies who offer ET35 or even ET40 in the rear. In my opinion, at stock height for the F30, ET45 is perfect when paired with a 265 MPS4S.

Wheels arrived in two boxes with 2 wheels with tires already mounted in each box.

The packaging was great and the wheels were wrapped in shrink wrap a few times, then foam padding on the face with a layer of cardboard on each side and strapped

After an application of a synthetic wax they are ready to be installed

A little detail shot of them using portrait mode on the iphone

And now installed with the OEM center caps for the OEM+ look

Other mods on the car include
  • full mperformance aero
  • BMS black chrome exhaust tips
  • gloss black 335 rear badge
  • color matched front reflectors
  • wrapped rear reflectors
  • 25% suntek carbon tint
  • m3 gloss black grills
  • M3 style Mirrors
  • LED turn signals front/rear
  • VRSF FMIC
  • VRSF CP
  • CTS Turbo Intake
  • red start button
  • LCI HVAC panel
  • various coded items (mperformance logo, weatherband, tpms temp/psi, turn signals disabled with headlights on)

Future plans
  • Bootmod3 flash
  • Dinan springs/bumpstops w/shockware
  • Axle back exhaust at some point

The pilot sports are way better than my runflat clapped contis. Those were noisy, cupped and handled like crap. they made the car feel like it would dart with every inconsistency in the road. The Pilot Sports make the car more comfortable, quiet and going slightly wider with a wider track creates more stability for me. I like them so far. I havent taken it on any back roads just yet but plan to give them a test this weekend when a buddy of mine go for a drive with his c4s.
Here's a rear shot i took tonight. I should have better photos this weekend when i head to cars and coffee and use my dslr. Thats the wife's f10 535 in the background.

Thanks! i was torn between hypersilver and gunmetal but glad i went with the oem look. I have VMR for my winter wheels that are 10 years old and holding up great. Figured stick with a tried and true brand.

Thanks!
I almost went with those reps from OEM Concepts but wasnt keen on ET40 for stock xdrive ride height. I know what you mean but the 437s have a more curved spoke as oppose to these being slightly more straight. It also has an et of 45 versus those being 40 so you get a little more concavity. In person the rear is very concave and from a 3/4 rear profile you cant even see the center of the wheel (shown in the last shot)

That looks aggressive! I guess the consensus is that the ps4s is the way to go.

Thanks! i took it to the Cars and Coffee today at my local Porsche dealer. Received many compliments about the wheels and how well they fit. They stand out nicely too.

I have an F30 335xi as well and been shopping replica silver 437M's. Like you mentioned, most seem to be ET35-40 for the 9.5" rears. I have been worried about too much poke. I planned on running the exact same tire size with my xDrive car as you except with Michelin's AS3+, so now I'm thinking even ET40 is too much poke since your setup looks great. I intend on lowering my car with ACS springs (in my garage currently) so that should help give me some more camber to pull off the lower ET I'd hope. Your car looks amazing by the way, I am envious of your setup.

With lowering you will most likely be fine at et40. I think even my MPS4S would have been fine at et40. Im issue was that those tires are a little wider than others for the same size and i wasnt planning to lower any time soon. the other issue would be rocks being flung up and hitting the rear bumper sides. overall im very happy with the fitment and how the car looks now. Thanks for noticing. Definitely post up some photos when you get the 437s and ACS springs done on your car.

Will do. I've been eyeballing eBay currently since oemconcepts is only selling the black replicas. I want the ferric gray/machined face style or silver. I found a few vendors on eBay, but they are only offering ET 35 or 37 for the 9.5 rears. Checking these forums people had bought from the same vendors on eBay, but their listings were ET 40 back then. I reached out to the vendor and they said the 40's are no longer available. Sigh...
