Bootmod3: cold start delete + startup roar

I'm curious has anyone tried bootmod3 tune on "cold start delete" and "startup roar" combo? And issue with it? I trying to be a good neighbors in the morning but also like to keep the sweet short roaring.

If you want to keep the peace with your neighbors, GTS Startup Roar is absolutely something you do not want enabled.

pretty sure you would be the first! jk

startup roar doesn't do anything if the engine is cold. only when it's warm. so cold start delete with startup roar on or off will be the same for that first start up in the morning.

I didnt know that thanks. I flashed 2 weeks ago, and forgot to turn off GTS Startup. I started it up the next morning and was fumbling to get it going down the street before it pissed anyone off.

I had this combo for a little. Worked just fine. Peaceful in the morning but when warm had a nice growl when starting it.

I had this on MHD, but car ran funny on cold start up at times. I put it back to normal, and car starts up and runs as smooth as ever.

I just enabled GTS Startup. We'll see if I piss off the neighbors in the morning.

Startup roar is much different than a cold start. On cold start the RPM raises and stays high for an extended period of time, and perhaps more importantly, the WG is fully opened which makes the exhaust significantly louder. This is to warm the cat as fast as possible.

Startup road is basically just a throttle blip to ~1500 on startup that lasts for a second.

Ahh ok. Then I def had cold start enabled when this happened because it was very very obnoxious. Thanks for the info.

I have cold start deleted and GTS startup.

This actually would piss neighbors off less. The cold start is way louder than the GTS startup.

The GTS start up only occurs on a hot restart and isn't that loud at all.
