AA silencers have confirmed a price of 345 inclusive vat and geo. They originally quoted a bit more but when I explained that I will be sharing the price on the forum, they were happy to be more competitive.
There original price was estimated on 5 plus hours and not the 3.75 quoted by ACS. They are based in Cheadle Stoke on Trent and about 1hr away from Derby. |

Please let us know how you get on as they are probably closest to me and I am looking at getting the springs also. Thanks |

Sure I did my complete suspension swap out on my S2000 in less time than that on my drive. And the rear is a pain as fuel filler pipe runs above the fixings. Know its a different car, but springs should not be all that involved to change. Unless someone informs me that on the F30 you need to drop the subframe etc.. |

Anthony at Bowker BMW in Preston has just quoted me £799 inc springs which I think is a pretty good price for a main dealer.
A query - will the lowering affect the LED Adaptive lights?! |

My mate recently paid a local indy £200 + VAT to fit his ACS springs to an F31. He took it to an alignment specialist who charged £50 to check & adjust settings.

Had mine fitted yesterday. For anyone down South I can highly recommend Mulgari in Bracknell for ACS fitting. Hands down best garage experience I have ever had. Brilliant customer service, amazing facility and some serious machinery to look at while you wait. These guys are used to dealing with supercars and didn't treat my car any differently, price was also good. Anyone within a couple hours of the place it's worth the journey.
It's been said before but ACS springs transform the car, handling and looks, a must have mod for a 35D |

Just received information from bluebell bmw Crewe. Wasn't sure they would fit only. Got back to me with a quote of 850 plus vat. But said I would have to supply a copy of the invoice for the acs springs. Wtf??'!
I thanked them and just walked away. Why would I have to show then my invoice for them to fit them. I rather them say that they are not interested in my business. |

Mulgari made a boo boo in their diary and agreed to a Saturday. It would have been ideal but then they called later in the day and informed me they need the car for 24hrs and quoted 6 hours for the job maximum. So a weekend was a no go.
I made contact with Deutsch Tech off the Rossiters list. I am booked in for a week day and the work around is that I pick up their loan car in the evening and drop it back the following evening. There is no way I can get time out of work as it is crazy busy. DT said the springs settle fairly quick. They quoted 614 all in. Including VAT, geo and, I get the loan 330i. DT said 5 hours tops and dropped some forum members names... guy said he lost count of how many ACS he had fitted to the 4'er this year. |

I assume it is so they know they are fitting genuine new ACS springs to a BMW and not others. They might be happy with ACS, but not other makes. I think that is understandable from a main dealer if they are not purchasing from Lorcan direct. Price to fit though seems very high ! |

The site doesn’t list these for F36 (only F32/33) but Lorcan told me it might be possible....I’m still considering although already having the M Adaptive dampers and ACS springs makes it difficult to swallow! |

So do ACS on pre LCI change comfort levels?
Are they stiffer? Or does the car just bottom out more often? If they are stiffer doesn't that then leave the car a bit under-damped? |

I would say that the chances of bottoming out are higher with standard springs. These are not boy racer lowering springs, where you need more regular visits to the dentist ! Instead of the wallowy ride over poor roads, where you are pitched all over the place, the ride is much more controlled. I haven't tried a car where the full suspension (inc dampers) has been replaced, but by all accounts that can take the car to a whole new level, but ACS springs will make a massive improvement on their own. The other aspect of the upgrade, is the steering, which is sharpened up considerably.
