Im throwing this code repeatedly and want to try cleaning what I got before buying a new MAF sensor.

Can someone share a brief description of the process and what cleaner should be used?

Can I just get whatever is on the shelf at Walmart so long as it states MAF Cleaner?

You should be fine just using generic MAF cleaner as long as you physically remove the MAF from the engine bay to avoid overspray.

Appreciate the responses...

Sounds like the best plan is to completely disassemble the factory intake system, remove MAF, clean MAF and reassemble...

Wasnt sure if I was missing anything? Do I need to let the MAF "dry" or can I basically do all the steps in rapid fire succession over a drink this evening?

MAF cleaner usually evaporates pretty quickly similar to brake clean. either way I would let it sit a minute or 2 before plugging it in to make sure its dry just in case.

Too much resistance across the MAF wires... Dirt, crud, water, oil... Loose or damaged connection.

This video sums it up nicely:

No need to disassemble the intake or anything, the MAF should pop out after you take out a few torx screws. Spray it down liberally, let it dry completely and put it back. Just out of curiosity, have you experienced any drivability issues, or did you just notice this when you were scanning for codes randomly?

Nice, glad it worked.

Did you just come across this code when you were scanning randomly or did you experience any drivability issues?

What are some other ones to look out for (quality wise)?

Dont get me wrong... if my career/lifestyle allowed me to smoke big stinky flower blunts at will, Id be doing just that.

I have to admit - the simplicity, convenience, discretion of cartridges is unparalleled.

Some other cart brands that I prefer if Select is out of stock:

Himalaya
Raw Garden
TreeBase (Klear Kart)

those three I've never seen before...I rotate between The Clear, Timeless, and Vapen, but always looking to try new ones.

Its almost like aftermarket air filters, so many darn choices!
