Catless DP Question - O2 Sim or Valve
Hey guys,
Does installing an O2 sim and/or one of those defouler valves cause misreads to the ECU causing lean / rich conditions in the engine by any chance? I always wanted to go Catless but swapping it for emissions check is a huge turn off every year Current high-flow catted dp does not cause CEL - Does the VSRF DP Fix work for N20 / N26 EWG? - Does the AK74 (-K) work for N20 / N26 EWG? But, it won't help with passing emissions. At least not if they put a thing in the exhaust tip to actually test the emissions like they do in NJ. What are you worried about this for if you already have a catted DP that isn't causing a CEL though?

Gotcha. So why are you worried about an O2 spacer if you already have a catted DP with no CEL?
EDIT: cause you want to go to a catless DP. Missed that part of your post. My b!

I have a catless downpipe, o2 spacer (spark plug defouler) and I am not tuned yet.
I do not have a steady CEL, but I have gotten a CEL twice so far in the last month that cleared itself on the next start. |

Is this absolutely safe that it won't cause a lean condition?

Read my first post. As long as you put it on the right O2 sensor it will be fine.

As long as you put it on the right O2 sensor, yes.

Okay thanks. I'll ask if the shop can get this part from autozone or something and add it in... if not... there's always next time.
