I hate the new software in my 2018 car
On my previous 4 series, I would use the Top Down Cameras to navigate parking close to the curb so I didn't scratch up my rims. All I had to do was push the P button on the center console.
Now, with my 2018 4 series, when I push the button, I get the rear view camera and then have to deselect it and then wait for the warning message to go away. How annoying! If anyone knows any workaround, it would be appreciated. Also, the stupid Navigation never recalculates my route when I pass an exit, it just keeps trying to get me to turn around and go back to the original route. Like even when its 20+ miles away. WTF? Is there an option to change this? |

No way to change to top view with one press, has been discussed heavily in a few other threads. Drives me nuts as it's a pain uncheck that box while parking. No reason there should not be a shortcut for this or to let that view be programmed in some other way.
I don't get any kind of a warning message though, I just purely have to uncheck the box. I may have turned off some of the warnings when coding? |

So i have an f32 on its way to the US.... so when do the surround view cameras go on naturally if they don't when putting in reverse? whats the point?
I have to imagine nav recalculation must be some kind of setting, or prioritization algorithm amongst different roads. |

I thought the same thing. I have a 2018 440i and when I press the park button moving forward, instead of getting a top birdseye view, I get split side cameras instead.
If I have reverse selected, it automatically defaults to the back up camera and not the birdseye view. I don't like it either.
