2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of TPMS

After a bit of Googling I cant seem to find a definite answer on this.
I am putting winter rims on this week, which came with TPMS sensors. The garage I use checked they can be communicated with before putting tires on to rims. Fingers crossed they work on the car.
I now have 2 sets of TPMS for winter and summer rims.
A couple of questions, when I swap the wheels do we need to "tell" the car? Or once the sensors are set up does the car remember? Can the car remember more than 1 set of sensors?
Do I need to do anything to the wheels that are off the car? Do they have some kind of memory or battery back up?
Car is a 2015 LCI F30 if this makes a difference.
Any info greatly received
Cheers

There's no need for the car to 'remember' a set of TPMS sensors. Just re-initialise the TPMS in the iDrive when you swap the wheels over. It'll then use the sensors that are in the wheels on the car.

That's great, thanks so much. I was expecting a much more complex answer. Cheers

Yup, go into IDrive and simply select 'Reset' which is the screen below the one that tells you the tyre pressures. Nice and simple - I just did mine last week and it reconnects to the sensors within a minute or two.

A nice simple reset and all went well up until 49% of the reset was reached. Then it stops and throws up a fault. Tried a few times and each gets the same results.
So I guess one is faulty even though tested that they communicated before fitting.
Any ideas where to go next?
Thanks

I had this the other week. One sensor was faulty and it was replaced and all good again!

Probably a daft question but how you did identify the faulty one?

I know it's a ball ache but could you not put 3 of your wheels back on and keep swapping the other one over till you get the error. You know your wheels are good so by keeping 3 of them on and keep swapping the 4 with your new set you should get a error sooner or later.
