Can you see texts on the screen I have enhanced Bluetooth and nav I hear it cut in on radio but do not see it on the screen? I have iPhone 4s

Yes. I used a 4s on both my 2013 and 2014 F30 and can verify that texts do appear. There are a number of threads about how to configure your phone properly so that it functions as you desire. But the texts don't just appear on screen; there is an option within iDrive for "messages" which you have to visit to see the actual texts. I've set one of my presets for "messages." When I receive a text, I get a small indication on my iDrive screen but have to go into messages to actually view. Make sense?

Looking back, I'm pretty sure my iPhone 4s was running the last version of iOS 7. I know I never upgraded to iOS 8 or 9. Hope this helps.

You need to enable that function on your phone too. Under Settings/Bluetooth, tap the "i" in the circle next to your BMW, and make sure you enable "Show Notifications".
