Anyone got a 3GT?
Was back in the dealership the other day looking at more cars, and there was a GT there. Looks (much) better in the flesh than in pictures - and certainly a lot better than the hideous 5GT!
Was looking at as an alternative to the Touring: despite it being priced to pitch it as the premium 3, because the emissions are lower, my company give me a certain amount of cashback, meaning it's actually more affordable. I tell you what: it's bloody massive!! I set the driver's seat for my position and sat in behind, and I felt like a little kid with virtually enough room to hold my legs out straight in front of me. Well, not quite, I'm 6'1" (and tons of fun and I dress to a T...), but it felt like it. That and the boot was enormous. I spoke to the dealer who said it's based on a LWB Chinese-only version of the 3. I'm seriously considering as an option. The lack of others on the road being a factor. Anyone else? Thoughts? |

I had one for a week before my F31 arrived and I really liked it. I don't think it adds a great deal in space to be honest - perhaps a couple of inches of leg room in the back - but it does feel much more imposing than the F30/F31. Also, it's arguably more practical as the boot is massive and enormous with the seats folded.
It's now available with a wider range of engines too.... Given my time again, I would prefer the GT over my touring....but then, given my time again, I'd be going for a 5 series.... |

I originally wanted a GT, however the only xdrive was the 2.0i
So went off the tourer. Whole I could go for the 330x drive gt, the tourer works out better deal. I know my dog would have liked it .. |

We have had some at work off thrifty as hire cars. I think they look heavy over the rear wheels and a bit clunky. I like the look of the 4 GC though, a lot.

I have a 3gt m sport on order. Had one for four days and loved the size and space, a great alternative to a tourer. Looking forward to it arriving.

Agree , I quite liked the 3GT but when I saw the 4 Gt or GC (whatever it is) I thought it looked stunning.
On the face of it the 4 doesn't seem to give much up in terms of space and practicality either. Think that will be on my short list when it come time to change. |

I bought one (335i M Sport) for all the reasons the OP mentions. You have to accept that you're going to give up a bit of performance to get that extra height and space, and even as an owner I'll admit that it's probably the least good looking of the F3x body types (but it's no 5GT or X4!). If you can get past that, it is a tremendously practical, sporty, and attractive car.
(The complaints I do have revolve around iDrive, Connected Drive, etc.) They're also built in Dingolfin, and I haven't read any complaints about F34 build quality. |

I have a 3gt MSPORT 2.0i xdrive auto.
Best car I've ever had, white with 19" wheels helps the look. The rear legroom is about 15cm bigger. Noticeably bigger than my friend's 3 tourer. The boot is great especially for tip runs. |

I know a few people with 5GTs and they all, without exception, absolutely love them. They are a really well kept secret (if you can get past the marmite looks....) |

3GT used cars are available on 4.9% pcp deals according to the bmw website and a few dealer websites.
Could be a good alternative to save a bit of dough compared to a new car...if you can get the right spec. |
