NBT - i-Step Update?

Hi all,

I have a 2014 F30 with NBT, love it and have no issues aside from Bluetooth streaming.

I can play music fine (mostly using Spotify), and it will always show the first song I play (name & artwork) but any others after that, it either just shows the first song or 'Unknown track'. I have read an I-Step update can solve this issue.

Can anyone confirm this? And perhaps how I'd go about doing it? (preferably myself taking the risk, rather than going to a dealer ££)

First of all you can check for an update of the mobile equipment compatibility under bmw.com/update.
That‘s no update of the whole device but can help sometimes.
If you want a „big“ update you need an enet cable and E-Sys.
