Yes, that is correct.

Ah thanks, I'll try that. Problem with Sport+ is that I find the sensitive throttle hard to control coming out of corners. And DSC completely off scares me a little... lol.

It is 2014 which is before the 340i which is MY2016 and after. Turning on DTC does put it back into comfort mode that is still true.

In a manual... sport+ simply uses a different dtc setting with less assistance!

Interesting. I have mine setup the opposite for daily use...drivetrain only (throttle only in my case with a 6MT), as I like the more aggressive throttle but don't want to get beat up driving around. Adaptive dampers at the firmer setting are a little harsh on 19" run-flats.

I have mine setup with comfort damping in sport mode as well. Figure this is the easiest and quickest way to switch to comfort damping on a pothole filled road while still having decent throttle response and when things get smooth again I can jump back into sport + and get the firm suspension.

i like the sport suspension setting for everyday driving

my old e46 had very firm suspension (full ZHP suspension)
so when i jumped into the f30, even with adaptive suspension on sport mode it was too soft

even with dinan shockware ... it's better for everyday driving
but i still need springs for track use

Having recently gone from a 13 335i m sport to a 340i I definitely notice a difference now between sport and sport+ in terms of holding gears and throttle response. Sport is less aggressive now than sport+ whereas before I didn't notice any difference.

Does that mean the 430i Gran Coupe with Sport + have launch control?

Launch Control enables an optimum acceleration when starting off on a road surface with good traction.Do not use Launch Control too often; otherwise, the powerful stresses on the vehicle will lead to premature component. Launch Control is available when the engine is at operating temperature, i.e. after driving continuously for approx. 6.2 miles/10 km.

LOL

I’ve had my 2016 F30 328i w x drive for a few weeks now and decided to have a little fun last nite. I didn’t even know I had sport plus so I hit last nite on I-95 about 3am - never felt a more stable ride hitting 120-130 w ease, felt like I was driving 70 except for the roller coaster feeling in my stomach and watching signs turn into blurs whipping past me.

I had hit sport mode a few times just to try it, sport plus is where it’s at tho my gosh. I can only imagine what 335s, 340s and Ms feel like in that mode.
