Anyone tried RFT's in the front and Non-RFT's in Rear (non-xdrive)?

Anyone tried this?

I bought my 328i recently and it had 2 RFT's on the front and 2 Non on the Back. It drove REALLY crisply. It failed inspection so I had to get a whole new set but was curious I might try to replicate that setup, unless there's a really good reason not to.
