Clutch Pedal Rumble?
Hey peeps
Tried to do a bit of a search and checked a few threads but couldn’t find anything that matched really so; My 320d ED has done just shy of 80k and recently I’ve experienced a sort of rumble vibration under the clutch pedal when lifting the clutch after changing gears. It’s almost a rumbling noise and feeling through the pedal. (Like a deep growl maybe?) Trying to troubleshoot it appears worse when I leave and revs in or off if I’m changing under hard acceleration from 1-2 and 2-3 particularly. It does occur under all gears if there’s any increase revs as I’m changing It’s hard to explain further than that, it’s not slipping. I’ve got good unimpeded clutch pedal movement and no squeaking or grinding per-sé. Warm or cold. Chatting to a mechanic mate at work he mused it might be a clutch release bearing but said to change that you’ve gotta have the clutch and the DMF out anyway so consider replacing the lot. Problem is it’s a 2012, I want a new car and it’s circa 1200 for a clutch and DMF replacements by my local independent. Thoughts and advice please. Thaaanks !
