Just updated to latest system and mcu for Carlinkit. All of a sudden, Waze is over-modulating/clipping in volume. I don't see any settings other than main volume, and Volume assist on the Carlinkit settings/audio/, and in Waze app on my iPhone- I turned the volume to 19% in the Waze settings. That did nothing to the scortching volume when listening to music, for example from Spotify. Anyone else notice this since updating? Anyone find a solution to this?

I think the issue is there is a conflict between the carplay box and the car's bluetooth. Do you or anyone know the best way to set this up for voice calls? I sometimes listen to the radio so completely removing my phone won't work.

Also, is there a way to increase the volume with google maps independent of the rest of the audio? I'm using the carlinkit

Yes! On your iphone go to settings > general > carplay > select it and you can move / delete apps

1. In the settings of audio you have two volume settings. One if for general and the other is for voice over like navigation. Also, in google maps click on the cog-wheel for setting and you can test the volume you set in carlink settings. It's back and forth process but you only have to set it once.

you dont need your phone connected to bmw bt to listen to the radio. if you want to toggle between the two you can do that or click mode while in carplay to switch from aux to fm if its just the one station you listen to

Does anyone have full screen reverse camera working? For me, the parking lines go full screen but the image does not. It also doesn't show parking sensors full screen. All works ok on the smaller screen (although camera 'jults' once or twice in use)

Have you tried restarting the box after setting full screen? That fixed the first issue for me, couldn't get pdc to work in full screen though

I got them. Only problem I see with the newly created ISPBOOOT.BIN is the scripts are different. I will try to inject the scripts from the original .bin

Good news first: I heavily modified the isp.c script and am successfully able to flash customized .bin files. Even the ones where I changed the squashfs partition to have 720p Android Auto.

The bad news: Since I wiped off my device key, I can't use it anymore :/

Sucks about your device but that is a great accomplishment!

I have a Carlinkit and have a 6.5" screen so I can't test your modded bin but someone else may be willing to test it...

I'm more interested in disabling Bluetooth. So if you are willing to disable bt on the latest Carlinkit ispbooot I am willing to test it.

Ahh bollox that's no good.

Yes might be worth trying the earliest software version and then working your way up, just incase 1 of them has the key in it and flashes it to the unit.

Failing that, you will need to work on that nand dump script and then hopefully one of us can send you a key that way.
