I believe on your vehicle, you need to have it configured as:

11000000 (6.5" screen)
--or--
11100000 (8.8" and 10.25" screen)

I have 8.8 screen and 11100000

It starts in black or no signal, but after it automatically reboots, it all works fine.

My screen is tiled. Does anyone know how to fix this? I unplugged all the wires from the box to require it through the glove box and after plugging everything back in the screen is tiled. I see two full screens and two half screens. Perhaps I flipped one of the toggle switches? I only have 4 flipped to on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wrong switch settings. What car do u have? What HU do u have? What MMI do u have?

Andream MMI's are fine, support is best you would get from Chinese company (I have had many, only Andream and CarLinkit were acceptable).

The CarPlay "HeadUnits" are trash. I stopped selling them because of all the problems and the mirror(screen). The microphone is also really bad, it's internal and very bad quality. Andream even told me not to buy them anymore because of the problems they have, and my returns had cost them too much. I suggested to stop selling that crap but they say most people don't complain...

I suggest returning it and buy an MMI to work on ur original screen.
If you do want a big screen/touchscreen, buy an Android screen with built-in Apple CarPlay or upgrade to 8,8"/EVO ID6.

Do you any of you have issue where you get out the car to get fuel and then when you come back it just won't connect?

Leave it for an hour an it just connects. It's like bluetooth/wifi just don't want to reconnect that quickly..

My Carlinkit did that. My Road Top (Pangolin brand offshoot) does not. Must be a firmware issue. Just to make sure, may want to go through the pain of completely erasing the Bluetooth setup in the OEM head unit and in the MMI and redo them again.

Question: is your phone with you when you are out of the car for a short time? Ad if yes, are you far enough from the car to break the bluetooth and/or wifi connection?

Edit: I think the reason it reconnects fine after a longer time is because the car goes to sleep and powers down the MMI as well...breaking all connections. When you enter the car again, it reboots from scratch and connects OK according to the designed MMI protocol sequence.

But, when you only leave for a short time but far enough to break the bluetooth and wifi connections while the MMI still stays powered up...the MMI's internal software protocol may not connect back to the bluetooth and/or wifi automatically. That's because the Chinese clowns that designed the software did not properly test for all situations. And they did not make the source code available in an open source format so people can fix it. Quality is not the #1 priority when you have enough dumbasses (like me) to buy their half-ass products.

One thing that could be done is to do some tests to confirm if the bluetooth and/or the wifi loss leads to a "no-reconnect" problem in all cases. Since we cannot get into the MMI firmware (I think Firefly1337 managed to hack it in the early versions) to fix the crap MMI coding, instead could use an Arduino or else to detect when the bluetooth and/or the wifi is disconnected from the MMI and then force a reboot of the MMI which will also fire up the re-connect-protocol next time it detects your phone in range.

Thanks for the reply. So, i've replaced my phone since this post and think that it may have been the issue... however time will only tell. SO far on two short trips it reconnected instantly. original was iphone 12, now 14..

Also, deleted the connection to the car with oem bluetooth.

Hey guys, I have an Andream MMI box for NBT but have been struggling with android auto audio settings.

1. Whatsapp voice notes are very soft, overshadowed by to music playing. Need to mute it to be able to hear voice notes.
2. Maps audio directions and alerts are very loud.

Not sure if there are any specific settings in android ir in the unit itself that need to be changed.

There is a menu setting in the MMI...separately for each various audio outputs

Hi all, question, got a andream mmi, when I start my car and put it in reverse to soon - within 10 seconds (automatic with pdc) the MMI crashes and gives a black screen, only a reboot will get it back online. does anyone know a solution to counter this? and is it possible to start the cars own system instead of the MMI when starting the car, like when it has to go to the dealer?

What's your firmware version? An update might solve it.

The car only starts from MMI when the phone connects, so at the dealer it won't switch to MMI.

Also, most dealers don't mind. They like the MMI. One Dutch dealer is even my customer.

Even if you are talking about the HU and not the MMI, I had the same issue, and believe it or not it was the phone settings like Andream tells you ...
And if the are not set correctly, big chance Google syncs them over all your phones.

Go to your phone settings, search android auto and select android auto settings, then check what is set under Day/Night stand for maps, it should be set to auto. That wasn't the case for me with default setting, which is strange indeed, but now I set it to auto works fine, as soon as my car lights go on, I got night mode.

I went for Tomtom Amigo on Android, free, good route graphics much better voice directions, and yes most important for me speed alerts (and also red light camera's, mobile camera, route traject speed controls, ...). I several times tried Waze, but no even they have a larger followers, I don't like the interface.

I heard TomTom is good. I think a lot depends on where you at. Here in the US, and in a few Western European countries both Apple Maps and Google maps have a much more advanced version. They are planning to roll out soon in some Eastern European countries this version as well.

I'm looking for the latest MCU update for my MMI (Andream B-Version [NBT EVO ID5/ID6]).

My current status is:
SDK Version: 25.0.0.7.0.0.2.0
CUST Version: E_V1.6.7_n
MCU Version: 20.11.30.21
HW Version: BMW_EVO

According to several posts, there should be an updated MCU version 21.3.22.20 (or greater).

Does anyone know where to get the latest version?
