What did you do in Bimmercode? What lines did you code?

Hello, I have tried the bimmercode application for android, I have searched for 3000HMI in expert mode and the CDMM_AUX_SIMPLE1 command, but that command does not appear in the application

It may not be the same exact code or in the same folder. Search for “AUX” or its variations.

CDMM_AUX_HU and set to AKTIV
CDMM_ANALOG_AUX and set to AKTIV
CDMM_AUX_SIMPLE_1 and set to AKTIV

Also, do you have MOST? If yes, did you transfer them?

I think you have the latest version. I contacted RoadTop support to ask for the latest version and they've sent me ER169R1 which looks like the version your unit is on.

Strangely the HW Version changed following the upgrade of my unit, so I'm not sure how relevant this is.

So far it's running fine, except:

Yesterday, the box didn't seem to loose power after locking my car - any1 experienced that? My phone still found the CarPlay from inside the house although my car was locked/disabled.

Second "issue": When connected through Airplay, I can mirror my iPhone wirelessly, but when I switch to e.g. YouTube, the video doesn't have the right aspect ratio. It's not wide enough. Sending a video directly from the YouTube app through airplay seems to crash the airplay on the box..

Got the 6.5" screen, btw.
Another additional issue:

While driving, the box seems to lose connectivity to the iPhone. What fixes it, is to enter the bluetooth settings on the iPhone, disconnect from CarPlay from the device and connect again. This happened 4-5 times already while driving.

Hi All! I ordered a Carplay box from Ebilaen store in Aliexpress for BMW F10 with NBT, it behaves strangely. The sound and image disappear, it seems to be rebooting. What can this be related to? Maybe there's a new firmware version?

Hello, so I finally got everything installed and it seems to be working correctly but I was wondering if there was a way to to play music through bluetooth instead of through the MMI (aux)? I'm using Android Auto and I tried searching through this thread and am reading but that some people are able to do this to utilize their HK systems? I can't seem to locate any settings in the MMI or on AA on my phone that would allow me to do this.
Thanks

Currently, AUX output is supported only on the Carplay and Android auto interfaces.

DIP Switch Settings

I have a 2012 X3 F25, which for some reason has CIC I-drive Software but the screen and Head Unit have NBT connections... I think my car was produced in the middle of a face lift or something.

I just installed a Chinese MMI box from Streamline Coding and the Dip Switch settings for either set up (CIC 0001000 or NBT 11000000) did not work, but when used a combination of the two (11010000) the thing started working!
Then found I can make it work with 01010000!

SDK: 25.0.0.7.0.0.2.0
Cust Ver: EW_B2_1.6.9R3_n
MCU: 22.10.10.110
HW: B_N2_1_G

I have no clue what I need to do to make sure that is isn't screwing something up in the car

Turns out my car is CHAMP2, but the MMI box is still working

You need to connect to the oem BT and select the BMW BT system in the audioplayer settings on the phone. With this connection, the oem BT audioplayer in NBT duplicates the player in Carplay. The choice of songs in the dashboard works, but there is no sound from navigation in the Carplay((

Since you are using Android Auto, the most likely cause (based on other posts here) may be your Android phone. Some brands/models are not entirely compatible or the phone resolution settings do not work automatically. Check the resolution on your phone. Ask someone with a different Android phone brand/model and see if the screen is ok with theirs. Or try with an iPhone on CarPlay.

If you have a retrofit OEM screen, you may not have the proper screen resolution. There are two resolution settings in the BMW coding for the 10in OEM screen.

Another possibility is the MMI box DIP switch settings. The manual is not always correct. You need to check your MMI brand name and model number. Like here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ostcount=11653

If it's the horizontal stretching in Android Auto that you mean then I've found that setting the "Left Scrap" and "Right Scrap" settings to a high amount fixes it.

They're found in the MMI "Carplay" settings, I think. I will check on my car later at home to see the exact numbers I have for each of those.

You can try to change the position of the Wifi antenna away from metal, or the following method:
Settings - Bluetooth, delete the previous Bluetooth pairing records,
The pairing record before setting-general-carplay-delete.
Phone Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings, and then restart the phone.
It can be completed by re-pairing Bluetooth on the main interface of the system.

Do you work at Andream?
I have spent many many hours on the problem, and there hasn't been a fix yet. It's only on iPhone X and XR. Other phones work perfectly, on the same MMI. People don't really have iPhone X and XR anyways anymore

So, I have developed a fault after the box has been working pretty well over many months. I cant seem to connect to the box automatically anymore. I have to reboot my phone, not sure if its down to the latest android auto update or what, Once I restart my phone then the screen will flick over and I get a connection. Prior to me restarting the phone I can see that the phone (google pixel 7) has connected to the box EW-xxxxxxxx in Bluetooth but I just don’t get the screen flicking over from the BMW menu like it used to. If I flick over manually by pressing the menu button the screen just has the MMI menu displayed indicating that a successful connection has not taken place. Has anyone had a similar problem ?

Many thanks.

Having just added a reverse camera to my MMI box, I found the same issue. The OEM parking sensor display showed my G31 with clear contoured lines denoting hazard proximity, whereas the MMI box has a crappy little toy with vague zones next to the camera image.

It looks so bad, that I'm going to get rid of the camera and go back to the stock display.

Try a "BT Reset" on the MMI. It removes all bluetooth references and gets the MMI a new bluetooth name. That should fix it, if not maybe wait for update on phone or buy an iPhone :P
