Hello guys,

I ordered from android-car-dvd.de, a MMI box for a BMW 320D F31 with NBT. I received the box few days ago and I managed to install it in my car. Now everything woks fine, but I had an issue when I was installing it. I have assumed that the dip switch combination is 11100000, but the screen was black when CarPlay was active. I asked Tang from ewaygps.com to help me and he told me that the dip switches combination is wrong, the correct one is 00000010.

The box model is EW-LBMCP-NBT02B and this is the firmware version:
SDK Version: 54.0.5.0.2.0.0.2
CUST Version: y×_v1.15
MCU Version: 1c0315

Have any of you seen this firmware or this dip switches combination?

I have a setting of 40 for each of the Left and Right Scrap options, looks good to me. I have the 8.8 inch screen.

Hello, I need some help.

Apologies if the answer to this is somewhere within this thread, I did a search but did not get any information.

I have a 2015 F31 with ID4 NBT EVO.

I have just temporally installed the MMI box and did a power up test. The Idrive all works as normal however when switching to the MMI via the long press via the Menu button all it says is NO SIGNAL

Key points

F31 ID4
NDT EVO

MMI Unit

EWM-BMCP-EVO-A (on the cardboard box)
EVO-LS-G-NS (on the actual unit)

Switch setting currently at 123 ON the rest OFF

My concern is the MMI unit is not compatible with my car configuration and the next question is there anything that can be done if this is the case?

Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

Bimmercode and bimmerlink will both fail with this MCU version. I updated mine using link on first pag3 and now both work.

I think that the intended use is to remove the selected amount of pixels from the selected side (or top / bottom also on newer software versions) of the screen. It's handy for the Mini's screen as the corners of the screen are hidden by the rounded fascia that surrounds the screen.

But the reason that I have the high numbers there are to correct the stretched perspective look of Android Auto. Instead of just 'scrapping' the pixels it seems to actually reduce the resolution / number of pixels available for Android Auto to display, so it can fix the stretched / incorrect perspective look.

If you don't have any of the issues above, all of the scrap settings should be at zero, I think.

maybe one day but as of now, none of the software can do this, so nope.

All, looking into this some more I think the box I have is for ID5/6, although I cannot seem to get the code I quoted above match any information.

Can I do anything to make it work, I.E is it a difference in wiring or hardware/software?

I'm sure this has been covered but 530+ pages...

Wife's phone has a known issue with Bluetooth and BMW systems (pixel 7). Lots of possible solutions posted to improve but no real "fix".

With an MMI unit, does the phone connect to the MMI only or does it still connect to the factory Bluetooth for sound?

Also, is there a current preferred vendor on Ali Express or are they all basically the same?

Most people that post in this thread asking for software updates have issues with their mmi that newer versions might fix.

Does anyone know how to route the audio through main car Bluetooth? The audio on aux sounds horrible.
There is a setting which allows you to route calls through main car Bluetooth. Surely there must be a work around to route main audio through car Bluetooth as well? I am using android auto

You need the NBT MMI for ID4.
Wire harness is the same. There is no way to make it work

I have the upgrade file to enable HDMI on the new MMI's
It can be find in the same folder as other updates I've collected over time.
Don't forget: Updating is on your own risk. Be cautious with updates. There isn't much quality control and it's not monkeyproof.

I have bought NBT box for my BMW F30. Everything has been fine since installing the box. After adding the carplay function, it is much more convenient than before. I love so much. But lately I've been running into a problem a lot...sometimes my iPhone 13 won't connect to the box automatically. I need to connect manually. I don't know if I need to set something. I thought if someone had this problem, they might be able to help me.
Have to mention that I really like the mirror link of the box. Like a car computer. Umm... the only problem is the connection, everything else is fine. Yes, I would still recommend andream's products, also called ewaying.de.

Yes, in the MMI select "Use car BT for phonecalls" or something like that. Keep the radio on AUX. It will then still use BT for music. I also did this trick and audio is perfect. Maybe you need to tweak some volumes.

At present, it can only output through AUX, but I heard that some models are developing software to output through the original car Bluetooth.
