Just curious as to what everyone's procedure is that always shows "Connection via VIN"? vs being grayed out.

I tried this same exact procedure on an 2013 F10 M5 & after 3 tries, it was still grayed out.

1. Connect ENET cable to OBD port
2. Connect ENET to laptop Ethernet port
3. Start vehicle (DO NOT step on the brakes, engine does not have to be on)
4. Wait until Ethernet has yellow exclamation ! Open command prompt & type ipconfig
5. Ensure you have 169.254.xxx.xxx IP address for Ethernet

- 1st try the door was left unlocked (everything off) & has been sitting for an hour while the key was at least 100 ft away
- 2nd try I locked the door and waited 2 minutes, key 3 ft away
- 3rd try I locked the door and waited 5 minutes, key 3 ft away

Was in a hurry so I didn't try locking the doors for a longer period of time before trying again (sleep mode)
Is that 15 minutes or 30 minutes to enter sleep mode?

My initial testing was on a 2015 M6 GC

Europe is A9, not A8, so 0xA9 0x32.

As for the maps, what should the root directory of the USB look like?

Hello guys,

i'm triyng to connect to my F31 with NBT system following the post #5 with no result.
Everytime i get NET-0012 no damned connection.

I'm using Win 10, i disabled the Microsoft KM-test loopback, checked the ENET cable...

Thanks for any kind of help!!
