Alternatives to Conti 225/50 R17 W98 RF

I need to buy 4 RunFlat tyres but can only find 2 options, the standard Conti Sport Contact 2 or Goodyear Excellence XL both with Fuel Economy ratings of 'F' and 'E' respectively.

Does anyone know of an alternative with a Fuel Economy rating of say 'C' and grip of 'B'?

The sticking point is the load index of 98, Goodyear UK Tech tell me they don't have a RunFlat EfficientGrip Performance version in their range and I should not fit a 94 as it could invalidate insurance in the event of an accident even though I will never carry a heavy load.

I'm looking at £600 for a full set so finding the most economical tyre is really important to me.

Regards,
Andrew

Have you tried searching on Tyre Leader?

Admittedly, I tend to choose tyres on performance rather than fuel economy.

However tyre leader gives options and prices are good.

@Brigand

Yes indeed I have tried a number of online retailers including that one and Black Circles and called Kwik-Fit but don't want to give up just yet.

Just had a quick look at a couple of sites, and it appears that the economy rating on that tyre is, in all cases, E or F. There is also a Dunlop, but only as a winter tyre.

It's something I've noticed too. RFT's seem to be a lot worse on the economy ratings than non-RFT.

Do bear in mind that the difference between an A and a G rated tyre sets is (roughly) 7.5%. That's in the lab, in the real world it might be so marginal as to be not noticeable.
